Does it?  Even if they add Machado they still needed more infield help.

Doesn't make sense to sign Tulo unless they plan to deal Andujar and play Machado at third. Then it could work, assuming Tulo goes to the bench when Didi is back.

 

Why would Tulo sign there if they planned on signing MM?

Its a league minimum flyer on an oft injured infielder.  I think a lot of people are reading into this one way too much.

Tulo obviously knows that the Yankees have good, young, infield talent AND that they’re interested in Machado. Do we think that he would sign there knowing they could be also announcing the signing of someone that plays the same position as him?

Yeah signing a player with Tulo's injury history (dude didn't even play last year) doesn't prevent them from signing Manny.

Has MM ever clearly said he wants to play SS or 3B next year? Or he will play wherever? Signing a SS does appear strange unless MM is just going to NYY to play 3B...

I get it from Yankees side, don’t get it at all from tulos sidr, especially on a min deal.

Is it a minor league deal? Haven't seen that yet. Pretty sure it's an MLB deal.

Obviously the Yankees could still sign Manny, but what’s more curious to me is why Tulo would want to sign with the Yankees knowing that Manny will sign with New York.
