Man, the one time the Sox could actually throw some money around on  legit FAs and they turn out to be destination FAs. Im not saying were out on Manny, but everyone knows he wants to be a Yankee. Must be nice to be those teams and have players like this practically begging to join them.

Assuming the Dodgers get Harper, this is a brilliant trade as they can also use Downs in a deal to try to get Kluber or Realmuto.

Here's to hoping Sox absolutely overpay for Machado, he was a better fit anyway.

Bummer.

Of the 2 mega free agents, Harper was the one I wanted because of what he could bring to the franchise both on and off the field.

Having said that, Manny is probably the better fit and the better player.  5 weeks ago, Machado was the free agent most Sox fans really wanted before the Harper stuff picked up steam. Here's to hoping we land Manny. 

Bryce to LAD and Manny to NYY would be such a bummer for not only the Sox but baseball fans all over. Just so typical.

Harper to LA and Manny to NYY is the reasons teams tank, whats the purpose of trying to compete when the rich get richer. The league has to do something about parity.
