February 17, 20197 yr This is good news. He is taking the best deal. So we will know if the Sox were serious, or just excited that a player would consider signing with them if they paid him a boatload of money.

Yes good for Manny for taking the best deal when it comes. Sox wasted 13 million on garbage players to try to lure him to this shit show of an organization and won't even be willing to be the highest bidder for the guy.
February 17, 20197 yr J Michael Robertson and the Patriots guy say the Sox are getting both. They wouldn’t lie.

February 17, 20197 yr Just now, Baron said: No idea. Is it not possible that the Padres got to that 300 mark? It’s far more likely the Padres heard of low offers being out there and decided to see if they could get him on their terms. It seems incredibly unlikely they entered the process so late in the game if they were willing to pay $300M.

I don’t see where anything has changed other than the Phillies seem like they will be out. Did anyone really think someone would offer more and he would still be a White Sox?

February 17, 20197 yr I think it’s pretty interesting that other teams are being mentioned as driving these deals to their conclusions... Edited February 17, 20197 yr by iamshack
February 17, 20197 yr Besides for getting everyone riled up, it sure seems like this is going to end in the next few days at this point. At least we got that going for us.

You still believe they get one of these guys or has something changed for you? Seems like you've held onto the theory that they'd have to mess it up for things not to break right for them.
