Like it.  Would much rather have Moncada hitting second though.  Also, Castillo is not as good as Ricky thinks he is.

Ricky batting the catcher fifth makes zero sense with Eloy in the fold now.  If this is a couple week thing to ease him in then whatever, but ideally our 3/4/5/6 should be Abreu, Alonso, Eloy, & Palka in that order.  Ignoring defense, that could actually be a solid middle of the order with bouncebacks from Jose & Yonder (no guarantee there obviously, but it’s a real possibility IMO).

Flip flop Eloy and Alonso and that's what I wanna see down the road. Fuck the L-R-L-R crap. Get Eloy more PA's and more RBI chances.

Renteria went a month without figuring out he didn’t have to put L in front of Garcia anymore. ?

Has Robert been playing at all? I realize we are at the time in the spring where he will be with his fellow minor leaguers. I just never read where he returned,

Exactly what I was thinking. Probably put Abreu at 1B, Alonso at DH.

Has anyone heard anything from Renteria as to why the Catcher's spot is batting 5th, regardless of matchup?  Curious for a rational explanation.

Moncada now 3/3 on the day with two 2B and a HR.

Banuelos looks pretty good. At least he’s stretched out in case somebody stinks early.

Moncada just missed another one.

I thought that last one was gone off the bat for Moncada.

Pretty solid day for Eloy

Both Eloy and Yoan with 3 hits and a HR. Nice.

My optimism for the rebuild will greatly improve with strong seasons from these two.  Would love to see Yoan to put up a 4 win season (or better) and Eloy come close to a 3 win season.
