I've gone from thinking they're about to turn a corner to this rebuild is a complete disaster in a week.

More like in a day.

But that’s your m.o. I guess.

Trolling a message board is one of the saddest things someone can do. I hope you will get your life back on track.

Don't worry everyone. Ricky will eventually be replaced by Omar Vizquel...  who.also.loves.bunting. Awww, hell.  Fuck it all.

  • Anderson is now officially the first Sox middle infielder to finish a month with > 1.000 OPS since Jose Valentin in 2004

Hell of a day for Hahn’s big acquisitions this offseason.

Have the Sox done anything to prove they're not truly awful ? Serious question.

They're awful... but not laughably bad.

Haha true. This DH changed my mind PDQ. Just an epic failure.

I'm out. Too depressing.

This didn't age well.

I am sure that Timmy Anderson is really working on his fielding craft and its just luck that he isn't getting better.  Too much smoke surrounding a team that has promoted fielding butchers who have a single tool, the hit tool.

So you do think the white Sox literally do not do basic infield drills. Got it.

The concentration level by those at bats that half inning were the epitome of "could give a shit"

They're walking the line between awful and fun bad.

Getting swept by the Orioles in a DH is not an epic failure, that’s just dumb hyperbole which can be found in abundance here.

Defense is atrocious

The thing about fun bad is sometimes it’s not fun. If it was always fun they’d be....good. And even good teams drop series to the orioles

No sense fighting it. It's just your typical game thread. Take it for what it is.

Whoa... that was... an impressive strikeout Vieira.

Vieira‘s stuff looks great.

That movement ?

I am sure they take ground balls.  There is a difference between taking infield and spending time on working isolation, short hop, footwork,  fielding technique and working through each phase.

Do advanced statistics still say Alonso is doing just fine?

That was pretty Mr Viera.

The problem is they are bad all around. 1B, SS, 3B, LF, RF and catcher have been awful

Sorry not fun bad, funny bad. Sometimes all you can do is shake your head and laugh.

And also when I said I was out I meant watching the game, but not necessarily posting.

Is it just me or does Viera look noticeably trimmer than the last time we saw him?

And you only think they don’t because you’re cranky. They do those things. I promise you.

Yes, they do. He's doing pretty well

6.30 ERA vs 6.03 ERA is a “dandy” :)

Stoney said as much

I think it’s Juan Minaya
