Maybe Timmy should work on fielding instead of his bat flip.   Timmy just needed to clear through the bag instead of trying to Matrix the throw.

He started slow last year defensively then came on like gangbusters. We were all hoping that would carry over but it hasn't  Hopefully he can improve over the course of the year like he did last year.

Silver lining: Bummer is looking good and seems to have way better command of his stuff. Except for the HBP of course.

Small sample size, but only Tim Beckham is grading our worse defensively. Of course Semien is having an incredible defensive start to the year.

This is what development looks like.  Instead of just going through the motions and hoping they get better based on some sort of experience ladder.

It's a tank year. Only thing that matters is letting the young kids develop and grabbing another top 3 pick.

Top 3 is gonna be tough, there are some truly awful teams out there.

I've gone from thinking they're about to turn a corner to this rebuild is a complete disaster in a week.

I am sure that Timmy Anderson is really working on his fielding craft and its just luck that he isn't getting better.  Too much smoke surrounding a team that has promoted fielding butchers who have a single tool, the hit tool.
