Trolling a message board is one of the saddest things someone can do. I hope you will get your life back on track.

Don't worry everyone. Ricky will eventually be replaced by Omar Vizquel...  who.also.loves.bunting. Awww, hell.  Fuck it all.

  • Anderson is now officially the first Sox middle infielder to finish a month with > 1.000 OPS since Jose Valentin in 2004

Ricky would bunt here.

The Sox performance vs the O's is depressing.

Castillo isn’t even trying to frame back there.  His effort this season is embarrassing.

Maybe it's too cold to fire a fastball, but Nova couldn't retire Fathom here. He's reminding me of a position player pitching in a blowout. Mabe it's the cold weather.

No one spends $9 million on a pitcher they don't think will be average at the least.  It was $9 million wasted.

A 4-5 ERA for a 4th starter is pretty average in the AL. Remember they wanted a healthy guy to throw strikes and eat innings . Weren't a whole of those guys out there  for a year.  There were plenty of injured pitchers from last year they could've signed for less but then you're starting the season with 2 guys or even 3 guys say if you signed Pomeranz and Miley who were injured and Rodon and a guy who was the worst starter in baseball last year in Giolito. That leaves you Lopez Banuelos Fulmer Covey to cover for 2/3 starters coming off injuries. Not exactly a lot of depth and also an injury prone staff..  It's still a rebuild year when all is said and done

Figured. I still think they have some potential with Kopech/Cease/Lopez/Giolito but I'm starting to sour on Rodon. He struggles to get through 5 innings. He's becoming the LHP version of Rich Harden. I don't really think they can count on him anymore.

Jack: I don't follow your reasoning.  Rodon has pitched slightly better than Lopez and Giolito this season. All 3 have been pretty mediocre. Why do you see Rodon as the worst of the 3?

Jose Abreu has an .887 OPS and 135 wRC+. Super, super confusing since I was told by half the board two weeks ago that he’s washed.

sigh

Nova absolute garbage

Nova blows ass

And another big hit with 2 strikes. Fire Hahn and just DFA Nova

Nova is so fucking bad.

You're still a grown man named Stevie

Please give greg credit for noticing the meatball-ish offerings of Nova tonight. Frankly I haven't seen a pitcher this bad in a long time.

Problem we tried to tell you after he was acquired is he wouldn’t be able to give the innings because he was going to get shelled in the AL.

If he pitches this bad his next start, is DFA possible? He's just as bad as Erwin it appears.  Mabe the DL.

Not an interesting baseball day.

Hopefully in two months the rotation is Rodon, Lopez, Giolito, Cease, & Banuelos.  I’m seen enough of Nova to last me a lifetime.

Hahn needs launched, he is over his head.

Not surprised! Nova = trash

The problem is Nova still owed ~$7M so it seems unlikely they’ll move as swiftly as they did with Santana.

We couldn’t be so lucky.

Everybody says "Ricky's boys don't quit." Well I knew there was trouble today having a DH against the pathetic Orioles. Ricky's boys also have a tendency to appear to loaf at home against lousy teams. We better rally and not get swept.
