No way, if Allan does not sign the Mets would lose $667k in bonus pool money. They must have planned on Allan signing.

3rd round slot is $667K. They are likely giving Allan close to $4 million. If Allan chooses not to sign, they'd lose $667K but they could still offer Barco the remaining the 3.3 million they had allotted to Allan.

He'll help with the Sox recruiting pitch for Witt when he is a free agent in 8 years.

I like it. Plus speed, elite bat speed metrics, good arm strength and pop times. https://www.perfectgame.org/Players/Playerprofile.aspx?ID=394663

Baty will likely sign for around slot of $4.37 million

Wolf should be at least at or slightly above slot of $1.37 million

Allan reportedly is asking for $4 million, way above the $667k slot

I am not seeing enough savings anywhere to get to $4 million, let alone Barco

per BDR

RHP Hansen Butler needs innings and to get less wild. That was what I originally wrote as a placeholder for Butler before I was going to go back and add something more substantive, but I think it works pretty well without much else. Also, “get less wild” makes me laugh for some reason. Butler’s stuff is really good, so the impetus to get him those innings and improve his control is even greater than if he was just a short righthander with pedestrian talent. At his best, Butler can reach the mid-90s (94-95 mostly) with a pair of offspeed pitches that will show above-average (78-80 slider, 79-82 change).

Baty is going underslot. My guess is Baty is taking just under $3 million, Wolf getting $1 million and Allan close to $4 million.

Some guys already reaching agreements with their teams. I know Tigers already signed Riley Greene.

Kaplan is reporting Cubs signed Ethan Hearn for 2nd round money.

Would be nice if they grabbed one of them.

Zac Taylor from U of I just went to le cubs.

normally I would check out at this point but bryce bush really heightened the stakes.

Justin Friedman, 6'4 guy out of hope international university.

That's all I got. There's some youtube vids.

Fowler gone ...

to the Mets lol

Sox pick Tyler Osik out of Central Florida. He plsyed 3B there but Sox have him listed as a 1B.

Mets are aware that they have a budget, right?

Aw my boy Fowler is gone.

More backup plan options. Someone on BA totally called this strat from them.

Props to the Zurbrugg family who leaned in and named their kid Zane.

Tyler Osik, son of former big league catcher Keith Osik, from UCF. Looks like he straight up rakes.

He's my vote for Great Falls bat we get way too excited about before it turns into a pumpkin the next year:

Kinda sad story above.

Yeah, nice profile with his bat, but I think the Tommy John he had in 2016 is why he is listed as a first baseman. Definitely agree that he profiles well for rookie ball.
