Do people who complain about bunting realize that a bunt for a hit and a sacrifice are two different plays with two different signs from the third base coach? Or that sometimes players choose to bunt

OUT!!!!!

great fucking throw!

That's a nice turn of events.

Oooo on second look, he was safe. That is a hell of a slide/play from Chapman.

Benetti and Stone seem convinced he's safe but I'm not sure Chapman ever touched home

He's safe

Out!!!!

It’s where the Sox and their total lack of adapting to the new era of baseball comes into focus

I know. I think the gap between the Sox and the rest of baseball is greater than 1st to 29th in that regard

LMAO they called him out.

lol lucky he looked safe

Awww

OUT!! Fuck you, Oakland!

And I was screaming at my computer screen for Ryan to let it drop, but damn glad he didn't!

And FWIW, I think his hand glided over the plate before McCann got him. I don't think it touched down. Looks like there's shadow below it.

Why does it seem like Jay always half asses it out there?

So how much does this up his defensive WAR? :)

Because he does. Running to first, playing the field, whatever. I guess his friendship with Machado makes him think he has the talent level of Machado.

He half-assed it to first twice today

Hopefully good for Herrera's confidence

HE GONE!!

He never run hard too first especially last at bat

I have no idea how they measure defensive WAR

For those watching, how bad has Herrera really looked today?  I know he’s given up a couple singles and in a GT that makes him the worst reliever in White Sox history, but he’s throwing strikes, the velocity is decent (not great), he got a couple swinging strikes, and a K.  Was he really that terrible out there?  How hard hit were the balls in play?
