Now that Castillo has inched his way over the Mendoza Line (at least temporarily), we are fresh out of sub .200 hitters on the current 25 man roster.

Actually it is.  The likes of Alonso, Rondon, Palka, and Reed are finally all gone.  There were games when we had 2 of them in the lineup in the same game, usually one of them batting 4th.  Good riddance.

I will happily admit I was wrong about Ohtani as a hitter. Thought he wouldn't be nearly as good as a hitter as he came in as a pitcher. Kid is legit.

By the way, our old friend Derek Holland threw the meatball to Harper to lose the game.  Nice pickup by the Cubs.  And Maddon went to the typical left lefty matchup of course.

This is Stone's series off.  Unfortunately the rotation of guests filling in leaves much to be desired.

Castillo isn’t even trying to frame. The 1-1 pitch by Lopez was a strike and he made it seem it was almost in the dirt
