It's like one of those SNL sketches that some find funny and others think it's too bizarre/awkward.

I think caulfield found his soulmate.

  • This is an awful point.  It wasn't more enjoyable than Hawk and Stone, it was a one time novelty.  If that happened for 162 game season people would want to murder Walton by game 3

A genius that deserves an extension.  But it is easy with Usain Bolt on 3rd.

Walton is by nature someone that is going to be loved or hated.   I found myself laughing more than I can remember watching a televised game. Would I want that all year? of course not.

No stat will ever convince me of that, having watched most of his games.  He is awful.  Misreads the ball off the bat, has no speed to get to a ball, and has the worst outfield arm in the majors.  He is a DH, period.  And that’s fine, at least he won’t injury himself in the outfield again.  Two times is enough for one season.

This is an overreaction. We need his bat in the lineup from left field. He'll get better and do just fine there. Every player on the team can't DH.

This GT is already 6 pages in and we are only in the 4th inning. I wonder why.. :)

Who the heck bunts in that situation?

Ricky bunting this team to a W.

No, it isn’t.  He’s awful.  We need his bat in the lineup, not his glove.  His glove is negative value.  We don’t really have a DH as of right now so why can’t he be it?

That's about the only time Ricky has them bunt that I agree with.

I so want to say "Lighten up Francis" today to someone who hates the broadcast or hates everything in general.

His bat is going to do the Sox no good if he costs the pitching staff a few runs every series and/or gets hurt consistently due to his clumsiness

An awful manager.

And don’t call me Francis.

Haha, where’s Chet???

Throw down a challenge on that one ? routine double play this is just hilarious

Even Chet Coppock says Jimenez needs to DH.

Bingo, vile hoopster is dead wrong here.

Eloy’s bat will be very good.

His defense sucks and costs runs.

He gets injured playing LF with his glove on his head.

Therefore, why wouldn’t you want him to DH?

If only the scouting dept. knew this.

You can always get an DH who can bat (well not the Sox this year, but usually). There aren't too many left fielders out there who are going to get 40 or so home runs for the next 10 years or so. He has a good work ethic; he will get better and be more than adequate.

Chet had a crewcut didn't he ?

Yeah, even though it worked it was moronic.

Sign Marcel Ozuna for LF and sign a stopgap like Corey Dickerson for RF.  And maybe Steele Walker comes up after that.

Eloy can still get his 40 homers from the DH spot.  And Ozuna in LF will also hit and play much better defense, improving the team overall.

I don't even understand how anyone can actually be talking about the game.
