September 29, 20196 yr What's been happening with Sox prospects in the AFL lately? Haven't heard any updates in a while.

October 6, 20196 yr Blake Rutherford has started to improve. As of today. .343 OBP .486 SP,4 XBH's. .826 OPS
October 7, 20196 yr Author Another triple for Rutherford yesterday. That's 3 in 10 games (which are kind of buoying his .825 OPS).
October 10, 20196 yr Author Adolfo with 3 hrs in 10 AFL games. Now slashing .206/.325/.471. Still way too many strikeouts. The power is obvious, but the swing-and-miss in his game is going to prevent him from ever being an MLB regular.

Next year will be huge for him and he really needs to make some progress in the swing & miss department.

He can strike out a lot and hit 40 Homer's and it won't matter. He has to make enough contact to get to his power though. He could run 30% k rates and still succeed probably Micker also actually adds value defensively too which cant be overlooked. Edited October 10, 20196 yr by Look at Ray Ray Run
October 13, 20196 yr In the AFL Fall Stars game Rutherford was 1/2 with a single . Tyler Johnson pitched a perfect inning with a K.
October 24, 20196 yr I just saw the Adolfo article/video in Sox web site. I had no idea he was that big.
October 26, 20196 yr I hate they started the league early. Nothing like getting a baseball fix in Nov now gone. How a player does in the AFL is kinda meaningless. One year Engle lead the league in hitting.
October 28, 20196 yr One year Tyler Flowers tore the league up, average and power if I recall correctly

October 28, 20196 yr The last time I went was in 2015 to check out Engle and he was coaching 3rd base.
