November 5, 20196 yr He was worth more WAR I guess. He also played I think 40 something games in 2018. He just missed the cut off based on games played that year.

Its Rookie of the Year, not Rookie of the Years. Doesnt matter anyway, Alvarez will win by a landslide Edited November 5, 20196 yr by reiks12
November 5, 20196 yr Odd how the advanced stats weren't mentioned for Lowe and Eloy. No mention of OPS or OPS+ or WAR or defensive ratings. Simply batting average, RBIs, and home runs lol.
November 5, 20196 yr Doesn't matter he was our ROY and will be our JDM playing LF next year. Next year he hit's .300 with 40 bombs if he can stay healthy. And Robert will be our ROY next year . Aong with Monncada that's a lot of star power in the lineup. Time to put some decent pieces around them and ditch the stars and scrubs mentality that we all knew didn't work before but all seem to be advocating we go right back to. Build depth.
November 5, 20196 yr Hopefully sets a fire under his ass and he goes off next year (i think he will regardless)
November 5, 20196 yr As mentioned...Alvarez wins this even if Eloy hit 295. The buzz for him was palpable. All good...Eloy has the better career.
November 5, 20196 yr Hard to be upset that Eloy doesn't get the chance to lose a unanimous vote to Alvarez. Finish 4th, finish 2nd, I'm not upset.
November 5, 20196 yr It's not like Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. was listed, either. Lowe's mostly there because the Rays were a playoff team, although that shouldn't be the MAIN factor IMO...although nobody, even in Baltimore, cares much about Means (maybe hardcore fantasy players.) November 7, 20196 yr Eloy had high aspirations for himself in terms of recognition, so I’m sure he’s disappointed and hopefully takes this as motivation.
November 11, 20196 yr Eloy finished 4th Four 2nd place votes, eight 3rds Edited November 11, 20196 yr by flavum

November 12, 20196 yr Vlad good for #7 and I thought he was The Messiah. Biggio done better. I see Vlad as bigger than Panda if you catch my drift. He will one day need a scooter over at 3B.

Not much people can do when they're predisposed to be huge like that. Edited November 12, 20196 yr by Jack Parkman
