After the crap we've dealt with since 2008? We have radically different outlooks I guess.

That's exactly the point though. We didn't suffer through a rebuild for .500 baseball.

And that closes the book on Keuchel.

Damn Gas at the corner

It’s all about how you get to 8-8 though. Too many injuries and not a lot of improvement by those we needed to take the next step.  In all honesty, they’re pretty lucky to be 8-9 with as bad as they’ve played at times

Who would have predicted the DET Tigers being 2 1/2 games up on the White Sox...?

Wonder how much those who took that bet, or the Marlins being in the playoff race?   Houston, Angels, Mets, Phillies, Reds, Cards and DBacks all being sub-.500 teams.

I guess in that sense, it's been really good for baseball.

Except the Yankees/Dodgers part, yet again.

Man I'm having real doubts about this season for the Sox. I didn't think they would be better than MIN, but this is flat out embarrassing.

Next season is the year they better be good.

You think they're all of a sudden gonna win 100 games (or whatever the equivalent of 100 games is for this season)? Be realistic. Get to .500 for the first time since like 2012.

Which is honestly encouraging. They're .500 with a ton of injuries and some really bad games.

seat is going to be quite warm for renteria soon.

Agreed. they still need another starter for that to happen.

And no run support...

People act like this team has so much more talent than everyone else, and winning at a high rate is a given. There are still a lot of holes on this roster.

Dear god, fire everyone.

Engel giveth, and Engel taketh away

Welp

And then Engel does that...

Welp, time to turn this one off. Woof.

Whelp. Engel giveth and he taketh away. That kills this game. night boys. they get to .500 tomorrow.

this is the white sox you are talking about.

Jerry Reinsdorf has to do something now.

Two inside the park homers in one week.

At least Engel's was hustling all out, but YOU HAVE TO KNOW THE SITUATION.

YOU HAVE TO BLOCK THAT BALL, NO MATTER WHAT.

Wow just wow
