8/11 Sox at Detroit game thread

Be more patient, Mendick.  Work the pitcher.   Go up to the plate with a purpose/goal/intention.

Fake Bunt #1 out of Engel and Moncada for the game.

Cubs @ CLE interesting series of tonight.

Moncada had COVID, showed up 4 days before the season started, and he's played 15 games in the past 15 days. He looks tired and it certainly makes sense. People that were ripping the two off days earl

  • I'm still a big Jose Abreu fan ... 3-4, 2 RBI; Eloy baby!

Of course running late and don’t get to the TV and miss 4 runs...am I obligated to not turn the game on now?

Let's not getting into "coasting" mode after we put up the early crooked number.   Put our boot on their neck and crush their spirits, lol.

You can't watch again until Eloy Jimenez makes another out.

Btw, we need a unique jewelry collection for female White Sox fans with the pieces designed from leftover scraps from Old Comiskey, that would be awesome.  Like the old green metal bleacher seats, or the chain link fence where you could peak out onto the field from LF at ground level (picnic areas?)

123 2nd for Gio.

That's invariably the biggest flaw out of the majority of Latin American prospects based on the pitches they see growing up in the Dominican, Cuba, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.

He's just in-between right now.   Has too much talent not to come out of it, especially as some games get out of control and the last relievers out of the bullpen throw him more fastballs.

Carlos Santana and his 48 walks this year says hello... :)

If Gio can just be a reliable number 4 this team becomes so much more likely to make playoffs. Would love for Cease to move to #3 though so you breakup the two lefty soft tossers.

Hang wiffem for Moncada.

Nice play by Moncada on that, but he definitely has some sort of injury.

Nice play YoYo!

I wonder how many different double play combos the Sox have had this year. Gotta be near the top of the league for that considering the injuries.

Inning over!

Moncada seems so injury prone. He seems fragile... like he’s wound too tight or something.

Victor Reyes is of that rare breed of guys who are huge, but have less pop than little Leury

Oh boy. If EE gets going...

Parrot! ?

Do the Parrot!

Hitting is contagious. Lets keep this going for the rest of the year.

Robert is in between right now. He would have crushed that middle-in fastball a week ago, now he’s late

I wonder if slimming down would help him. His legs are the size of tree trunks. @ptatc is what I'm saying complete broscience or is there some truth to it? The guy is always hurting his hamstrings

love mendick‘s approach. He has turned himself from a senior pick inteded to save money to a major league quality player.
