  • Can not argue with the facts.  Adam Engel has contributed far more to this season than EE.  I would hate to see Adam go elsewhere far more than EE.

Id suggest this team would be at least 5 or 6 games better in the standings if Ozzie was skipper.    It’s a shame the best team in baseball is underperforming so badly.

  • We need a shakeup.  New Manager...New Lineup...New Owner.  I don't care what...just something.  This is getting unwatchable.  The Cards looked a lot more ready to play these games than we did.

Eloy has always projected to be a high average hitter and he did so in the minors.

And that's fine, but *imo* I don't expect him to do so in the majors. I'm not expecting .240 but certainly not .285+ or anything

So he can quit again? Fuck outta here

Dallas Keuchel must regret signing here.

After watching the decisions of the manager and inablity for a lineup to adjust, I am sure he is.  I going to cut the grass.

If Eloy can’t be a .285 hitter, then shame on the Sox development

I’m sure the $45 million or so left on his contract will make that ok.

Sad thing is Cishek should have been the one to face Goldy, but he’s been such a disaster he can’t be relied upon.

And we wouldn't have had to acquire Cishek had Herrera not been a total disaster...at this point, Burdi needs to start getting more of these opportunities, or Heuer, or SOMEONE/ANYONE.

Sox have 5 hits in the last 11 innings.

Christ almighty, we're really going to drop both of these, huh?

Just checking in.

I cannot be the only one who is disgusted by how we've looked today.

Wow does that game 1 pitching decision look horrific right now.

Absolute clowncar.

Find a way to get an out Fry, christ. This is atrocious.

If he hits .270 with 35+ homers and a ton of doubles yearly, who gives a shit?

This whole day is a trainwreck.

I respectfully hate you for this post

I appreciate this. The last 2 times he has been used Ricky has wasted Detwiler in games that didn’t matter at that point.

Not sure  he's even going to do that. Maybe .245-.265 with 35+ bombs and a few walks here and there.

Watching this team hit shouldn't be so frustrating. But it really is...

Well, at least if those two baserunners on right now score, this game is over and can be put out of its misery...meanwhile, the Cubs are waiting just to stomp all over a "down on themselves" White Sox team that can't get out of its own way playing at home for some odd reason.

2-8?

I just don’t get it. Was afraid to use him in those Brewers games because he was too valuable, and now he won’t use him in high leverage spots.

A change in coaching could be all this team needs. Ricky keeps putting people out there that shouldn’t be playing in situations. Lineup and the bullpen management has been terrible

Does Cooper go too? What about the lack of quality depth they have?

Can we calm down on pigeon holing Eloy based on like a week sample size? Sheesh.

Inning Mercifully Over

What are the odds of getting swept the first two doubleheaders of a big league season in the span of less than a month to open a year?

Probably something like 10-15%, at most?

Damage has been done, but it's still theoretically a game if the offense hasn't given up just yet.

That inning sucked!!

Pitching depth or minor league coaching depth?   Because the second has always been pointed out as one of our "niche" advantages...supposedly.

If Ricky’s boys don’t quit, I’d suggest they get it the fuck going.
