I'd prefer a closer facing a bad team to not be in that position where hes giving up gopher balls to the gap

Dude even great closers get roughed up multiple times a year.

Colome is a pretty good closer, probably mid-grade, and seems to get better results than you’d expect.  He’s not the answer long term but he seems to have the stones to get it done.  He doesn’t make me feel like I’m watching Jenks in 05-06, but I’m cool rolling with him all year- he’s earned it.

Colome has been nothing short of FANTASTIC this year. The defense let us down in the top and he kept it tied.

I demand we win every game by at least three runs and with error-free play.  You know, like the *really* good teams all do.

This was the first time in probably 10 years plus I just knew the White Sox were going to win in the 9th

Once they pulled Staumont and didn’t bring in Rosenthal, it seemed the Sox had a great chance.

That’s what I like about Colome. I’ve never been in love with his stuff but he seems ice cold when he’s out there. I guess that counts for something at least.

Lmao such a fuckin reach just to b**** about anything.

He's gotten the job done just fine and just pitched over some embarrassing defensive shenanigans to get the win tonight while the team has won 10 of 11 and look absolutely monstrous offensively with a no-fuckin-hitter sprinkled in this week.  Let's enjoy it with minimal b****ing for a bit.

What is our record entering the 9th inning with a lead since we acquired Colome?

He did throw some wicked cutters tonite.  We've been so good he's hasn't gotten the work closers need to stay sharp.  He definitely manned up when the score was tied and kept it winnable.

We don't get to play in Iowa this year, but I could swear this is heaven.

Redemption song.

Was watching the game late after pausing it in the 7th yo take hi8is JR. to the pool.

Restarted it while we built a science kit and by the top of the 9th we were reading his bedtime books with the game on mute.

When the Royals tied it on that awful play, I tossed a book up in the air.

Seeing Grandal was leading off the bottom frame, I had a good feeling he would do his part to make things right.

Sure enough... game ovah!!

Sox win! Sox win! YES!!!

Have the greg observers noticed I'm not b****ing about really anything? You should all take it from me. I think we have a good team so there's no reason to stress about little stuff. When we play bad teams we "usually" win. When we play really good teams we have a real chance of winning. Sox have added some nice pieces. The team is much better than a year ago, especially if the pitching continues to be good against bad teams. Some fans are really freaking out; I'm not one of them. Peace.

You always know just the right thing to say. ?

I hope Hahn figures out a way to keep Colome next year.
