Marcus Semien to the Jays 1YR/18M

Can't stop won't stop for TOR.

Good lord.  This makes Cruz more likely to the Twins IMO

So he basically got the qualifying option as a contract, and if he's worth it, Torotno can offer him a qualifying option again next year (if such a thing exists)?

That's very expensive and a very weird move for the Jays. I guess their stacking depth.

Gonna guess Paxton is next for them

Wow - that's a lot.

Gotta respect what the blue jays are doing this offseason, but their moves are really ? to me.

Kirby Yates coming off injury, Semien coming off a horrid year, overpaying Springer.

Is their team even that good? Without SP I think they likely finish 3rd in their division still.

They desperately need quality SP, otherwise I just see massive overpays for mediocrity.

They have to overpay to get guys to play in Toronto (or wherever they will be playing this year).

Depends how much you believe in guys like Vladdy, Biggio and Bichette...as well as their health.

I feel like he is practically am imperative need for us at this point.

Mad props to the Blue Jays. They are signing all the players the Twins want. Semien was penciled into the lineup by Twins fans for a month now.

Seriously. Raga, imagine being a twins fan this off-season.

I believe in their offense 100%. It can go with any of NYY, CWS, any of the top dogs.

But their SP is absolute garbage and their pen isn't all that good either. Definitely screams mediocre team to me.

It's crazy how high they have had to go to get people to take their money this year. But good on them.

Hopefully this takes them out of the running on the few remaining established starters that remain.

The Jays have a Monster offense but I wonder why they didn't upgrade SP more.
