February 15, 20215 yr I recently sent in an item for a private signing for Aaron Rowand, and it got me thinking, what are some of your favorite pieces of memorabilia that you have from the 2005 World Series team? Here is mine. Got this back in 2016 at a signing at Jewel. https://twitter.com/patrickhoward50/status/1361398309143855112?s=21
February 15, 20215 yr I have a framed picture of the team celebrating on the mound in Houston and I spent 2 years going to card shows and autograph signings to get everyone to sign it. I even have Reisdorf and Gene Honda on there. The only autograph I do not have is John Rooney, and he's said he will sign it if I come to St. Louis, just haven't had the foresight to do it yet.
February 15, 20215 yr I have the NYTs sports section story clipped, that's all I have. Not a huge memorabilia guy. The best memory for me will always be leaving the bar in disgust only to listen to El Duque get those magical outs in the division series. For some reason that was the moment that I thought maybe they could win it all, and sure as shit they went on to do it.
February 15, 20215 yr Remember seeing a 05 World Series ring for sale on eBay a long time ago. Think it sold for like 20k and I always wish I could have bought it.
February 16, 20215 yr I have the official hat and DVDs but my favorite World Series memorabilia is my Monopoly World Series White Sox edition. Konerko is Boardwalk and Buehrle is Park Place.

February 16, 20215 yr I have picked up some good pieces over the years. I eventually got the giveaways for the trophy and ring replicas. I got a 1 of 500 engraved bat as a Christmas present in 2005. I also picked up an official 2005 World Series ball, and have some player autographs on World Series balls.
February 16, 20215 yr I don't know if this counts as memorabilia, but I breakout this jacket every opening day.
February 16, 20215 yr I have the White Sox DVD done with Michael Clarke Duncan, the Sox Pride DVD, and the DVD set that A&E put out. https://www.amazon.com/Chicago-White-Sox-World-Collectors/dp/B00UGPNQDW
February 16, 20215 yr I have a framed photo of the mound shot when they won, with AJ and Jenks and the first rush of guys. I have a pennant somewhere. I have a very worn 2005 Championship t-shirt. I have just a single DVD recap, or maybe it's two discs. But my biggest piece of memorabilia is the 7-page single space typed personal recap of the entire year that I did at the end, mostly off memory. One part of that I come back to often is when Soxtalk went on a Sox Haiku kick somewhere in the early-to-middle of the season and I wrote about a dozen or more Sox Haikus, some of which I can still remember. What's amazing about these is they were written during the season, yet were very World Series focused, when we hadn't won a playoff series since 1917!! This is the one I always remember: Great Ozzie Man Say Pitching and Defense Is Way To World Series Play! I actually saved a document listing them!! Here they are: Ya gotta believe In this torrid White Sox team To go all the way! Lee for Podsednik? Add AJ and El Duque Play Ozzie ball. Win! Little Boat afloat Sailing on to yonder shore Where White Sox are Champs Kenny man, he say Power ball is not the way Go-go Sox are best Garland, Buehrle pitch Fifteen and one and counting Sox duo kick a$$! Big Frank coming back Adds thunder to Sox attack Best team gets better Nineteen seventeen? White Sox fans can't wait to see Champs at Comiskey Thirty-fifth and Shields U.S. Cellular team fields Baseball's supreme team U.S. Cellular, Not Wrigley Field, is home to Chicago's best team McCarthy's the man Filling in for El Duque To mow the Cubs down Brandon McCarthy Six-seven pitching demon Will keep Sox humming All the way this year Eighty-eight year jinx over White Sox are World Champs Bosox won last year Now it's time for the ChiSox To wear Series crown Podsednik leads off Turning speed into Sox runs Sparkplug of the team Iguchi bats next Veteran Japanese star Plays like Zen master Batting Rowand third Jump starts young center fielder To twelve game hit streak Konerko cleans up Leads Sox in walks and home runs Starting to get hot Pierzynski hits fifth Lefty catcher has quick bat Veteran leader

February 17, 20215 yr A few weeks after the series, Bobby Jenks and Neal Cotts made a joint appearance (I forget the place) to help introduce a video called "Sox Pride" which was a retrospective of the championship. I think Comcast put it out. Anyway, I still have two of the DVD's, one opened and one still in the shrink wrap.
February 17, 20215 yr Gotta be this for me. Took roughly 4 1/2 years to complete. The vast majority were acquired in-person, with a few purchased from a dealer I trust. Edited February 17, 20215 yr by CWSpalehoseCWS

Huh, cool - the angle of the photo makes the frame look like it’s too thin to hold the full depth of a ball and hence had to have been inlaid into the wall. Awesome piece, congrats!

My wife and I both got this one instead. My oldest daughter still wears it every day. I also have this thing sitting on my desk at work. I use it as a pen holder.
