July 28, 20214 yr Ouch...this one hurts. With Escobar out there I still felt it could be a positive trade deadline. Now that seems unlikely. One thing no one seems to be talking about: Trevor Story has play all of zero of his nearly 6,000 MLB innings at 2B. Zero. We've seen a guy who's a positive defensively on the left side of the infield but a liability on the right. I get that the middle infield shares more similarities than 3B and 2B, but yikes...zero?! Are we even sure he can turn his head to the right on a double play?

In all honesty though, that would have been very early for the Dbacks to settle for a minor return. Unless the market for all these guys is much colder than sellers think it is.
