He started heading to the vicinity…inexplicably stopped, forgetting Altuve can run well to first and Maldonado was the better shot to retire and closer throw at second from Anderson.

Such unnecessary runs to give up. There were 2 outs. 

I know Cease can be frustrating, but getting upset because he didn't pitch over a 4 out inning vs the best offense in baseball seems very harsh.

I do too. Timmy always throws to second when he doesn’t have too. Most SS running in, will throw to first.

Well, if you’re going to blame the wet grounds for not being able to get a great grip on the ball while moving…if he threw it away and out runners on second and third?

Better chance to get the slow Maldonado at second. Leury screwed up.  Cease also should not have walked Maldonado the 9th hitter on 4 pitches with 2 outs.

Abreu really needs to start lifting the ball again. He's a groundball machine right now.

Looks like those 4 days off didn't do a lot for Jose. 

Abreu's up to a 55% GB rate vs righties this season. That isn't going to get it done.
