7/21 Gamethread: Cease vs. Pineda, 7:10 PM

Anybody look at Collins DRS and pitch framing on fangraphs? It's funny what a few weeks of more playing time will do to a bad catcher.

I really wish they’d consider upgrading back up spot this year, if Grandal isn’t going to catch every game in postseason

I wish they would. No idea what their opinion of Collins is right now.

Given they were linked with Vogt, it wouldn't surprise me if that's something they end up doing.

they need to change that to DRC for Zach: defensive runs created.

Abreu working the pitch count, like it after 2 quick outs

when did Pineda go down to 89-90 mph?

that didn't take long.

What the hell is Tony saying

the dylan cease show in full effect early.

my goodness TA!

Nice play TA

TA is having the best defensive season of his career this year. He's a legit plus defender out there now.

I always hated the decision to not move Collins from behind the plate, the bat coming out of college was really good power wise at least

Cease's spin rates tonight are basically in line with where they were before the sticky stuff crackdown.

slider looks great but command overall is awful

His bat doesn't really play at any other position, so I understand sticking with him at C. Maybe he'll be playable back there with an automated strike zone but he certainly isn't right now.

Cease with no control this inning.

Dylan is off and may not last much longer if he doesn't start throwing strikes and commanding his pitches

He seems to be bad at blocking pitches also, which wouldn’t be helped by robot umps

Oh, no, another TLR apology thread for his charitable contributions…

14 strikes, 16 balls and the balls aren’t close
