This looks eerily similar to how we scored.

Goodwin made an out fairly recently. Double switching him out of the game so you can get the defensive improvement + have the possibility of Kopech for 2 innings was an obvious decision to make.

This is like having a 6 year old manage. What the hell?

  • Kopech hit so he could walk Adames

Does he? ESPN showed some stat that Abreu is the best in the AL since 2019 vs fastballs that are 95+ mph. Of course some scrubs throw 95+ now but Woodruff's fastball shouldn't be too much for him

I don't think he struggles vs velocity, but he does hit significantly more ground balls vs RHP than LHP. 54% gb rate vs RHP, 40% vs LHP on the season.

I like Yelich when he's not playing the Sox but he just got fucking aced right there

got out of it, lots of pitches though

Is Kopech coming in tonight?

Way to pitch out of it Lance.

I'm not sure if Lynn gets that call if it isn't Seby behind the plate.

Yeah throwing 30 pitches in an inning where it started with 789 isn't ideal. Hopefully we get Kopech for 2 tonight.

Kopech for 2 & Hendriks for 1 should be the plan if this game is close all the way through.

If Eloy and Robert both come back raking, should Seby be #1 until YAZ comes back?

I mean bat him leadoff while we are at it

Doubt it. Collins is still the personal catcher for Gio and Rodon.

That pitch wasn't even close

Can't really complain too much about that call after the one Lynn got in the first.

2 of the 3 strikes were nowhere near the zone.

Yes.

Jason Benetti attending the game today with his friends.

Currently calling the game on radio, perhaps his only chance on the road beyond crashing the booth again in Wrigley during a National broadcast.

The random-ass professional at bats from Leury are always entertaining

Leury with some good PAs today.

Against lefties for sure.

Benetti is a treasure. Never let anyone tell you differently

Whatever happened to the plans that they would be traveling now?

Not sure if not having Seby and Lynn leadoff the next inning is a good or bad thing.
