Yeah, Maton was garbage in SD…and just a very pedestrian middle reliever in Cleve.

The only thing I can think of is they wanted to give him a shot with another org for everyday playing time and thought they could replace him as the 4th/5th outfielder easily enough.

Somehow Benetti will get some kind of gig like sideline reporter…if he manages to steal a bow tie away from a certain someone.

 

McKenzie with a .196 BAA and six walk average…the thing you have to do is wear him down with prolonged at bats like Abreu in the bottom of the first.

McKenzie seems to get a lot of weak contact and swings and misses on his fastball despite poor spin rate and mediocre velocity. Is that just because he gets good extension on his pitches with his lanky arms? 

 

Let's see how Dallas looks 2nd time around the Indians middle of the order.
