Is it really that low? That's actually kind of crazy. No wonder pitchers just try to jam him inside.

  • I honestly hope La Russa runs Tepera back out there if the Sox have a lead. Get the guy's confidence back and show that little blip last night is in the rear view.

I would be all for it if Abreu was hit on purpose.  But that was not the case. Dick measuring contests sometimes make sense. Not here. The AL Central has surrendered, perhaps for several years. Just k

Poor outfield positioning. They should be on the other side of the fence.

Smoked salmon pastry? You're really showing your Seattle now ;)

Yessir. The fish of the gods!

Dallas not going to be shown up by Lance. ?

Ramirez probably could have gotten to third on that. It was in that corner forever. Vaughn was also playing far from the line.

Not a fan of Hernandez batting 2nd either. He's not a high OBP guy.

Dallas always gets into trouble when his cutter doesn't get in enough on righties. He left that one just over the plate enough for Ramirez to pull it fair.

Yoan should bat first or second

Moncada mentioned a few years ago he didn't like hitting leadoff, so batting him 2nd to get that OBP in front of Abreu and (hopefully) Eloy would be ideal

The frustrating thing is that he keeps taking the bait. It's just like how Jose can't lay off the outside slider.

Odd, his approach literally screams leadoff man.

Yeah TA shouldn't bat 1st and Jose shouldn't bat 3rd but they seem to have achieved tenure in those spots so Yoan should be 2nd and Eloy 4th.

Moncada has been swinging at so many pitches out of the zone lately

And looks like he’s never seen an offspeed pitch

We've hit two liners right at Mercado.

Goodwin!

Goodwin!!!!  Great job laying off breaking ball

He goes through phases of flying open think it’s from switch hitting

Goodwin stays, just a little bit longer

He wants to play, just a little bit more

For the love of GOD, can Rick DFA Goodwin to take away that option for Tony?!?

Goodwin solo shot!

I've been saying it since the KC series, Goodwin's had some good at bats despite the results.
