He is stunting AV growth.  He comes up to bat in the playoffs he needs the experience of what pitchers like to do to get him out.  Sitting 5 our of 7 days just so Leury can get AB's is asinine and stu

Cesar Hernandez is way way way better than Leury Garcia. Whatever idiot said they're pretty similar should ban himself.

That would be fine if that is what Tony was doing across the roster. Yoan, with an injured shoulder, hasn’t had an inning off since July 9th. Tim hasn’t had a non DH day off since late May.

36 degree launch angle was just a little too high. If it's a few degrees lower, it's probably gone.

If Hernandez had this kind of batted ball profile with the old ball, he would have hit 30+ homers every year.

I would say GRF should be more homer friendly to Cesar than Progressive Field so he may reach 30 homers this season.

Semien impressed me early in his career with the Sox by pulling his hands in and keeping a ball fair on an very inside pitch for a HR.

I remember Crede doing it once to pull a very inside pitch for a HR inside the LF foul pole. Don't recall if it was local or national commentators but they slo-mo analysed it.

Nobody said that.

Some dude  said it was "cute" to think that Eloy doesn't have to play where they make him play .

I responded that Eloy cannot be forced to DH against his will.

Frankly the way he hits the ball, Eloy can play wherever he wants as far as I am concerned.  He is by far, the best and most clutch  hitter on the team.

There's a good chance he does hit 30 if he stays healthy and keeps hitting fly balls.

Eloy totally sold that check swing haha

I don't think it's possible for Yoan to do anything but line out to CF when he hits it hard right handed.

Lining out on something with a .550 xBA is a pretty accurate reflection of how the last month has gone for him

Given how wet the field was that Hamilton catch is an all-timer for me in White Sox history

Now it's safe for Ruiz to pitch.

James Fegan on the White Sox beat.

READER CONTENT WARNING: Positive commentary regarding Yoan Moncada, Soxtalk viewer discretion is advised.

I REALLY hope he asks Eloy about his timing post game tonight.

We're really lucky to have Fegan covering the team

Thanks ump

That pitch wasn't even remotely close lol

He did that against Texas and then picked off the baserunner. Think it was Sosa.

Which isn't to say he didn't do it against Cleveland also.

That texas game was a no hitter.

You know Lucas will be pushing hard to get the CG tonight

Yoan is now 6/46 on hard hit balls his season. Unreal.

Gio can have the 8th too.

It's probably why his xwOBA is so high despite me thinking he was getting lucky on soft-hit balls.

excited to see if astudillo pitches the ninth of this one

Shame there was that one hit off Gio, would be veerrrrrrrrry verrrrrry interesting right now..

Some of the worst luck I've seen.
