Could not get tix with Vince V starting. Too many sellouts. Leury can grab some bench and stay there.

  • There was nothing in his numbers last year to suggest he was a good acquisition

  • Buehrle would be in the 6th by now.

You mean it's not possible to replace a 5 war SP without adding an actual SP to the roster?? good thing there's plenty of upper minros pitching depth on the way ?

He’s going to be pitching a ton the first month

oh boy!

This guy is not very good

VV just sucks

I'm not enjoying the Vince Velasquez experience.

So this guys sucks huh?  Fine use of $3M.

Sp depth piece. Hahn special.

Save Velasquez and Leury for the playoffs.

Yep…. It’s going to be pretty brutal to watch if he gets a lot of action

Hey but he's great in LF....you'll see those highlights later....although if he gives up many more home runs, they might just skip that video montage.

Yeah, but he's almost thirty so tons of years of improvement and growth left in the youngsters arm.

Hope he’s bad enough this spring that they cut their losses….Velasquez is done for the day….thank god

But he's happy to be working with Katz....he's working on some stuff in Spring Training....unfortunately what he was working on was keeping the ball in the ballpark and that's not working out.

Not so quick on that.

I'm sure they're just shutting the inning down for him to get him back out there for a 2nd inning.

Sox analytics algorithm got hit with a nasty MLBPA doomsday virus.

Hahn better get something done for 1 of the A's starters

It's baffling that they haven't addressed the rotation either and magically expect the back half to be good and make up for the loss or Rodon.

I don't see that happening. Unless some sort of injury to Vaughn, I would be very surprised if this happens.

As a guy who defends management on here, I would be very unhappy if Leury starts 100 games. He is extremely important as a fill-in-anywhere utility backup, but for the Sox to be good, he needs to be a back up.

Now if this or that player(s) on the infield is/are injured and he's plays at ton because of that type of situation, that's fine; that's why he on the roster and valuable. But to just start him everyday because he's deemed the better player or option, that is not good.

TLR has made his opinion known that he doesn’t view Leury as a utility player, but an every day player who plays different positions. He will start minimum 4 games a week and if there’s an injury he’s starting every game.

I think Leury will get plenty of ABs, but I’d def take this bet.

Ban bet.

Do they ever go to position players pitching in Spring Training games??

I'd like to return this beer please.

Will they take Velasquez and Marinez?

Going to be pretty ugly this year if they don’t do anything and they rely on a handful of these Velasquez type pitchers

The Sox pitching depth, or lack thereof, is terrifying.  Look at all the 30ish np arms they're running out there in the spring.  They have stars and absolute disasters and very little in between.
