I’d go with Ruiz for two here potentially

Lopez is coming in

Surprised he is not in the rotation at this point

He’s like 8-0 career against the Tigers, let’s see how he does against others.

Cease still just loses it randomly at times, as you just saw last inning. That's probably the biggest issue with our young pitchers. They can look amazing when they're on, but they'll randomly lose control and get in trouble.

Mystifying to me an org petrified of giving out long-term contracts gave 3 years to The Legend

Yeah, no one was giving Legend three years, but maybe they just wanted to match his contract to Tony’s

Lopez?  Figured he would be Kopech’s tandem starter tomorrow.

Cease should have a real short leash here.

I would think they save Lopez for tomorrow with Kopech on the mound.

Think trying cease for one or two more outs was the right move but yeah didn't work

Could mean Sox are skipping him bc of the off day Monday.  Or Cueto could be coming up for the 2nd turn in the rotation

Used to have the problem early though. Real early. At least now he seems to save it for later.

Makes zero sense especially with internal replacements for the utility spot.

Can Lopez and Ruiz get us all the way home?

Reylo, don't let me down....I have your back, now how bout giving us 9 outs.

Velasquez has game 4 and Keuchel has game 5, but someone is going to have to eat a lot of innings tomorrow.  More likely they want to get Reynaldo on Lucas’ schedule by pitching today and figure to run the rest of the bullpen hard tomorrow with the off day on Monday.

Ok Reynaldo, please be better than you were in the spring.

If you believe the projection systems (not saying you should & I get that these players might better off developing in the minors) there's no difference between Leury and guys like Romy or Yolbert Sanchez already.

Sets up things to be real weird tomorrow, if we only get 3-4 innings from Kopech.

If ReyLo can finish it then they have the full pen tomorrow for 5ish innings.

Lots of sliders, please. Don't groove Javy any fastballs.

High probability someone will need to eat some innings in those games too.

Pen only gonna need to cover 4 inning tomorrow imo.

Make Baez swing and miss.

I'm having a hard time realizing we're in a world, where Vince Velasquez is in the starting rotation for a team projected to win the division.

Was perfectly fine letting Romy get the shot. Stupid af extending Leury for 3 years when we had the giant holes at 2nd, RF, and SP at the time.
