Would love to know why the game plan is taking fastballs and chasing the curve

Everyone chases Hills curve, so that is what it is. But not being able to do any damage on these mistake pitches is just brutal.

Maybe the manager doesn’t have them prepared to play….

Eloy is the epitome of this team's failings.  Wildly inconsistent, too often unavailable and low baseball IQ.

There is no game plan.  Never is.

Then why is he playing

A corpse is better then him right now

That corpse is named Josh Harrison and I am not sure that is true.

This offense is beyond bad.  It's rather amazing.

Blow it up and build around Timmy, Robert, Vaughn and Eloy.  Find lefty bats for LF, RF and 2B after the season.

Because most of the fastballs are coming on the 1st pitch and Sox are taking the 1st pitches trying to do better getting on base. SO they are all caught in between .

When they sent him for his rehab assignment, a few days earlier it was reported that he was still feeling discomfort swinging lefty.

Him hitting for power on the rehab assignment and the team struggling definitely could have lead to him being rushed. Who knows. I know people on here don't like Moncada, but he's never hit this poorly before.

I have no idea why they rushed him back.

All so predictable

Are the Sox gonna find the right hitting coach to help Eloy lift the ball?

That’s the big question, but he fits in nicely at DH going forward.

If this is what he is as a hitter, there's nothing special about an injury prone 115 wRC+ at DH. He'll have to start lifting the ball a lot more if he's going to be valuable as a DH.

Playing the 1B's in RF isn't working out so well, eh

I'm starting to think the same thing.

McGuire isn’t buying Giolito anything

Nice play by Yoan. It's a grind for Lucas tonight but he's doing well all things considered.

wow, maybe we will capitalize off of that. i mean probably not but a guy can dream

That was a big DP. Now string some hits together.

Big out there. Timmy is going to homer so let’s get someone on base

Nice play from Yoan

Nothing wrong with Moncada's defense

it's a grind for every pitcher on the roster given the fucking offense. 1 run down feels like 5 right now.

bad defense and bad plate discipline to go with it, yeah.

The pitchers feel that pressure for sure. They give up 3 or 4 game over.

Engel, that was a pathetic at bat.  Again, stop taking fastballs down the plate.
