Moncada

On life support but it feels good compared to the alternative.  News flash: They're better than us.  But don't stop hoping.

Theme of the season.

Perhaps but could have easily won 2/3 without the 7th inning debacle on Mon. But yea, got outplayed for sure.

They might be a bit better today but RH is about to find some help in the near future.  I know some don't believe it but the FO is looking at the same things we do.:drink

Getting Rick Hahn's help is akin to asking Dracula to run your blood drive. He'll suck you dry and not in a good way .

Hope in one hand shit in the other and see which one fills up faster.

That aside, it really is amazing what happens when you hit the ball in the air. One thing that I don't understand wrt to that is Jose fucking Abreu currently has the highest FB% of his career (his xwOBA is .423!) but the sox as a team are 24th in FB% and 28th in HR/FB%. Some of that is bad luck but HIT MORE FLY BALLS.

How is Jose Abreu managing to buck the org's shit swing instructions? It just doesn't make sense to me how he as a guy doesn't see what's happening and try and fix it with the coaches.

The coaches have some influence here, if nothing else on how guys are approaching the AB. If Jose knows the recipe for success, why doesn't the hitting coach?

This single game literally had to be prophesied on the Georgia Guidestones. Which were destroyed today.

There's few things worse than being in a position to root against wins. Fuck. I can't get excited at all about this one.

That's just sad. What a miserable "fandom" that must be

There are a ton of reasons the Sox are mediocre to poor team.

But it sure helps when the lift and pull brigade shows up. Robert, Eloy, Vaughn. The Cell is built for home runs. If Eloy and Robert were to stay healthy all year and hit a normal amount of HRs for them and TA bashed his 25 or so and Jose heated up to 30 or so and Grandal stayed healthy and hit a bundle of em and of course Moncada and Sheets, the Sox would be in much better shape.

Yes I detest hit and pull MLB as it's become but since it's here the Sox need to stick to the formula if they want to win Central Division games. Lift and pull to 3-4 homers a game and get the starters to go six minimum, 6 2/3 if possible so the blah bullpen can cover 3 innings max instead of 4.

Yes the HRs were nice tonight. 3 of em.

I can see what you did there. The deeply hidden sarcasm, antipathy  for the Tatis deal. We will heed your warning

Did I hear correctly that Moncada wears protection on his foot but did not have it on when he fouled the pitch off.

Was he is too lazy to put on the protective covering?

That's a nice win.  Hopefully they can move forward with that approach and do some positive things.

Foster is not a pen option yet I think Tony really believes in him because he reminds him if the 90s bullpen arm like a Joe Borowski or Rod Beck.
