White Sox Winner w/ Lenyn Sosa's 1st MLB HR !

Had to celebrate the HR by Sosa. Hopefully a few more to come this season with Tim on the shelf.

He should start every game at SS unless he falls apart.  We already know what to get out of Leury.  Nothing.  Play Sosa at SS and Harrison at 2b and stop resting our 24 year old players Vaughn and Robert.

yay.

Wouldn't be the worst idea in the world to bring up Romy, Perez and Colas and let all 4 young guys be each other's support group. Leury might be hurting and Harrison too.

Send Sheets down , IL Grandal, Leury , Harrison or DFA Zavala. Hand RF to Colas, catcher to Perez, SS to Sosa and 2nd base to Romy and let them sink or swim in the Division race. They might surprise you.

Twins lose and we’re what 1.5 back?

At least he will hustle. Then again the Sox stink might cling to him.

Congratulations to Lenyn Sosa on his first ML home run. Hopefully he will be allowed to continue to play as long as he isn't overchallenged at the MLB level, since he is only 22 years old, well ahead of his peer group.

The White Sox should not indulge Tony's worst impulses by bringing in these recently released old players:

  • SS: Alcides Escobar (-0.4 fWAR 6th worst); Andrelton Simmons (-0.4 fWAR 7th worst) or Didi Gregoirus (-0.3 fWAR 10th worst)
  • 2B: Robinson Cano (-1.4 fWAR (Worst among 2022 2B))

Gladly I was wrong. Sox split the DH. Can u imagine the Royals being .500 vs. the Sox this season with the payrolls so different? Sox should be ashamed at how badly they traditionally play vs. the Central. It's a team effort: players, coaches, manager, advance scouts, scouts.

Martin did a nice job, too.  Exactly what we needed him to do.

Sosa's first home run and multi-hit game was a cool thing to see.  He needs to start almost every game.  Leury was absolutely useless yesterday, and he for some reason started both games.

Moncada's nice defensive play followed by the big home run was encouraging.  We need to see a lot more of that Yoan.

Davis looks like a major league pitcher. Good stuff and keeps the ball down. We really should play Sosa

every day for the rest of the year. We all know Leury is bad.

Martin did more than what should be counted on from a guy like him. Great game by him.

I'm going to guess that Sosa is the 1st White Sox player born in 2000 to hit a HR. Born 1/25/2000.

Eloy was the last 22 year old yr old to hit a HR for the Sox on 4/12/2019 when he hit the 1st 2 HR's of his MLB career.

Hate to jinx Martin but I’ve liked him this year. He throws 97 when he needs too and has movement on everything. It looks like he gives up home runs every so often but as long as he has a good Defence behind him and doesn’t walk guys he should be in good shape. He’s only had one bad inning this year on the Sox.

id like to see Sosa play a lot to show his stuff. I’ve been done on Anderson this year and he started the year with about 7-8 errors right away and is essentially a singles hitter. In the minors roberts used to lead off with madrigal batting second and it was pretty deadly. Why not have Robert lead off and Tim bat second and Tim mostly slaps balls to RF. The lack of lineup thinking fromlarussa is amazing. This team is poorly designed and run by a guy from the 1980s. What a disappointment.

Martin has been a steal of a late round pick.
