That's what I thought when I watched it live and saw the replay.

More likely...it's the 2022 White Sox after all. We lead baseball in errors. What new?

HOF move to have the rookie catcher catch the rookie pitcher.  Just wait until the Sox take games seriously.

Leury had no shot at home?

Nope none whatsoever. High chop.

Ump is squeezing him

It’s true but still you need to be around the plate and not nibble so much with a three run lead. You can’t afford to issue walks with that lead.  There is no defense against walks. Perez poor performance as catcher has also been bad.

Welcome back Leury, missed the weak contact

Playoff baseball.

That’s TLR ball.  Always contrarian and illogical.

I thought the same thing when our HOFer mentioned it a couple of days ago. I was hoping for better.

Sox hit the homer, and score 3.
Arizona hits 2 singles and score 5.  It usually takes the Sox 15 singles to score 5.

Yikes

Was trying to find blackout game on local ABC affiliate wqad-3 in the Quad Cities.

Now a Cardinals' affiliated station lol.

More like 18-19.

So true about Sheets

Sheets has been our best hitter these last couple of weeks.

Andrus continues to swing at balls and take strikes.  Just play Romy at 3rd. It’s truly amazing we have to see Pollock, Garcia, Andrus and Perez bat consecutively.

Grats Carlos!

I will now exit the miserable gamethread.

Is there anyone who didn't enjoy 2016-2018/9 more?

They might have convinced fans rebuilding a third time in a decade would somehow be more palatable than this.

No Harrison at least...?

Game Over they have the 3 runs for the game can take rest of night off

Good for Carlos Perez.

Each day gets a little better.

my friend @Bob Sacamano told me Carlos Perez would be fine behind the dish.....

Need Moncada Grandal and Sosa added to this one...

Popup to third is somehow a double?

Was Cool Papa Bell running?

Let the record show I posted this before he let a pop up land 5 feet from the plate.

On game day it came up as double to catcher!  What?
