Who do the Sox have left to sign or arb with?

Giolito, Kopech and Cease haven’t signed yet right?

Edit: Lopez too.

White Sox

Man, Sox were like a week away from squeezing another year out of Reylo, eh?  That said, considering how awful he was in the minors after his demotion, its a borderline miracle he's turned into what he has out of the pen.

I think that arbitration salaries on some players are potentially holding up the trade market . Starting tomorrow I expect to see more trades.

Both Kopech and Ruiz slightly lower than their projected salaries.

Dylan Cease also received about $2.4M in from the pre-arb bonus pool but that should have no bearing on his projected $5.3 salary. I expect it to be more though.

Edit: Just saw after posting the tweet from Heyman that says $5.7M

I wonder if he purposefully goes to arb to make a point.

I was more thinking the Sox would lowball him because of his union involvement, but you make a valid point too.

Giolito in agreement, 10.4

Lucas doesn’t have much of leg to stand on this year.

He should go out there and pitch extremely well and earn a monster payday on his next contract.

I am genuinely impressed by the accuracy of the MLBTR estimates.

So based on MLBTR's projections, Giolito and Cease's salaries are a wash and they saved a little money on Ruiz and Kopech so far?

yes

Sox should sign Lopez to multi year deal now. His value is just going to go up from here imo

He's a relief pitcher who really hasn't proven anything yet. That said he is a FA next year and this year should determine how valuable he is going forward.

In 2021 he had vision problems and was a terrible starting pitcher in the minors. Once that problem was corrected he's done much better.

He's got a couple of hundred million reasons to get fixed up.
