Clevinger is the second best starter on the team.  He’s excellent.

He was terrible last year.

The new pitch clock and having the weight of the world against him seems to have motivated him to a degree.

Or not...lol.

  • You seem to keep insinuating in your posts that LaRussa was not a problem.  He clearly was.  Not the whole problem, but a pretty damn big one.

  • I'm still happy we did the Grandal deal...we targeted the top choice at a position and spent the money.

  • A single tear descends down Yaz's face as he remembers the shift can no longer hurt him.

the amount of two out runs we give up is super annoying

Santana can’t play dead against rest of MLB, way under Mendoza line.

Clevinger will probably be pretty good if he can sustain this velo

but still.... meh.

It seems pretty clear he was hurt last year and is healthy again. His stuff is way better than last season.

That's always the trick...second time through the order.

His body language is a lot better than previously. Used to be a notoriously slow worker.  Now he's just playing catch...just kind of like F it, whatever happens happens attitude.

Well this is his second season coming off major surgery.

Unfortunately the same can't be said for Kopech, but that might be a result of the lower body issues the last two years.

please get at least a run here for our collective sanity

Highest chase rate and lowest average exit velo of Grandal's career so far

That looked familiar.

Velasquez is throwing the ball well early again too...just like Clevinger.

Grandal a DP machine

There we go Oscar

There ya go Colas!!

oscar, i like you....in that you don't piss me off as often as the others

Oscar Colas sparks joy.

Colas has some nice bat speed.

I love the energy he plays with. This team badly needed it.

Man colas gonna be a beast

Lucky he missed that throw cause they had him by a mile

Andrus showing a pulse here would be nice

When all is said and done...Hahn's mismatch of Grandal, Lynn, bullpen veterans and assorted castoffs did the Sox young core no favors.

Giolito also going from All-Star to backend starter hasn't helped much either.

He was a lot more fun on a league minimum deal wasn’t he?

I'm still happy we did the Grandal deal...we targeted the top choice at a position and spent the money.
