Which would be a great pick as it will save the Sox some serious cash, allowing them to go overslot in the later rounds but it’ll fill some needs too. The Sox haven’t invested a first round pick on an outfielder since Courtney Hawkins, which is why the OF has always been a problem, they haven’t invested many high picks in it. And Griffin is a five tool player and a serious athlete with a chance to stay in CF or even play SS. It’s the right move.

July 8, 20241 yr Nobody I've talked to thinks that Caglianone can actually play the outfield. I was told that Chris Getz valued defense. Also, if you're drafting Cags, you're drafting the bat. Just put him at 1B and hope he mashes.

July 8, 20241 yr I think the Sox will get Wetherholt. Personally I would love for it to be Cags, but I honestly think I would be happy with anyone at #5 that we've heard, outside of Kurtz.
