Let’s not hire first time managers from losing organizations.  Pedro should be fired to shake up the team.

Perhaps new ownership will be willing to pay beyond minimum manager wages for an experienced winning manager.

The White Sox have had 42 managers, 31 were first time hires. Only four of the 11 experienced managers were hired with a previous winning record, and five finished with a winning record for the White Sox.

Successful Experienced White Sox Manager Hires:

Manager (White Sox Record)

  • Marty Marion (179-138)
  • Al Lopez (840-650)
  • Eddie Stanky (206-197)
  • Bob Lemon (124-112)
  • Jeff Torborg (250-235)

White Sox Managers hired with previous MLB Managing Experience:

White Sox Years / Name / (Prior W/L)

  1. 2017-2020 Rick Renteria (73-89)
  2. 1988-91 Jeff Torborg (157-201)
  3. 1986-88 Jim Fregosi (237-248)
  4. 1986 Doug Radar (155-200)
  5. 1977-78 Bob Lemon (207-218)

Yup agree. All this BS talk like they know what's going on inside every players head and have this effort meter they shine on the players so they know it's not there is ludicrous. Despite losing

I'm just continually amazed how awful this is. To be worse in your "window" than when you were "tanking." And we seem to be the only ones who care.

Grifol.  The buck stops there, and the guys are not playing hard for him, and no adjustments are being made.

Who will it be because a statement firing has to be made!!

Nobody. It’ll be nobody. We know this.

I am getting to the point where I'd rather watch other unrelated games that include some fantasy players of mine rather than watch the Sox... This sucks.
