I was always a Dale Tallon and then Hossa signing (no brainer) got them where they needed to be. Then Stan rode his father and the pieces in place to look good. Similar to Jed Hoyer to Theo although Theo seemed to get out while the getting was good. I am an average hockey fan so I could be wrong but that was how it seemed to play out in my opinion.
August 30, 20241 yr Brothers Johnny Gaudreau (blue Jackets) and Matthew Gaudreau died last night in what appears to be a drunk driving accident. Absolutely tragic seems like they were hit by another driver
August 30, 20241 yr They were both scheduled to stand up in their sister's wedding today as groomsmen. Absolutely devastating. Prayers to the entire Gaudreau family, Johnny's teammates and all who know both young men. Sad

October 9, 20241 yr Surprised the lack of Blackhawks interest on the board . Shouldn't there be a 24/25 NHL thread now . Pitiful start afte 1 Hawks had 1 shot on goal and none in the last 19 minutes . Utah up 2-0 and hit 2 posts. Hawk no skating , turnovers and stupid icings. Can't barely get it through the neutral zone most of the time. Maybe they show better in the 2nd.

Maybe they show better in the 2nd. 5 minutes of the 2nd Taylor Hall and Kurasheve applied some pressure got somegood scoring chances , hit 3 posts but no goals . Hawks also had 3 power plays but they were all pitiful. Bedard did set up Teravainen with a nice little rush getting aound a weak attempt by Sergechev to hip check him for the Hawks only goal. Utah up 3-1. But Utah controls the puck 5 on 5 better than the Hawks powerplay.

January 25, 20251 yr Holy Moly still no thread for this Blackhawks or NHL season. Looks like Taylor Hall is gone in a 3 team trade that's sending Mikko Rantanen to the Canes. Hawks could get a 3rd round draft pick. Found out during the 1st period intermission against the Lighting. Hawks lead 2-1 on goals by Nasr and Colton Dachs very 1st NHL goal ! No because theirs is not offensive and they get support from and acknowledge Native Americans. Their Blackhawk head is more a historical acknowledgement of a Tribe of significance in the Chicago area.
