The good news is that no one is ever amped up on opening day, so we don't have to worry about him overthrowing things or over stressing that arm. We also can count on the manager to be responsible abo

Did you remember to subtract 81, since we won’t need a pitcher to cover the bottom of the ninth for any road game this year?

I've been watching this team since 1990, and baseball in general since around then too. I'm highly critical of the White Sox org because I want them to win. I want them to be good. But we have all wat

I was never a huge Monty Python fan but I have respect for all the old classics.  I was more of a Mel Brooks fan -- Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, History of the World, Spaceballs, etc.

Mel Brooks is the best, but Python is in the team photo.

Ya know what, I am going to watch them all in their entirety because of your post.  I never really sat down and watched them in detail.  I was usually watching them while doing something else.

We actually saw Spamalot on Broadway in its last week.  They are talking about going on your soon, and I will be there.

One thing that always stuck out to me about Python is that all of their sketches have one ridiculous or outlandish premise, and all of the decisions and actions are 100% logical once you accept that premise.

I feel like that is a perfect metaphor for Sox fandom.

Crochet has gotten worse each start pretty much. Already losing velocity, becoming less effective each start.

Dude I don’t even use my little league pitchers as irresponsible as the White Sox are with their million dollar asset. And I’m a 39 year old dad trying to win a spring season trophy.

Well we did score more runs last night than the Sox have in their last 7 games combined.

Yeah but how’s your team culture?

They probably got cut in spring training.

Got a few bad attitudes, it’s not the best but they’re good players so you deal with it.

Funny enough, we were the Royals in the fall so I technically have 3 former Royals!

Are you related to Chris Getz in any way?

Do you teach your kids to play fearless, aggressive, selfless, and technically sound (F.A.S.T.)?

On the long list of dumb decisions by this org, this is one of them.

these various Crochet threads are awesome

The next one will be for Shane Smith when he's inevitably traded away and finds another 2-3 mph on his fastball.

Nothing like coming in hot on an old thread bump.

Tru's hot take wins the thread lol

I mean the guy just torched the Yankees and threw 120 pitches and the Sox were apparently stupid for even trying him as a starter. Amusingly, it's a similar cast of voices in the 10 concurrent threads whining about the Sox. I was looking at old threads about Crochet in light of his awesome postseason start and the comments in them were genuinely baffling...although not necessarily surprising. People just like to whine.

Probably something to do with having the 5th worst record in baseball from 2011-2025 (15 seasons)...goes down even more if you take out 2012.

1. Dodgers (1392-939)

2. Cardinals

3. Braves

4. Rays

5. Brewers

10. Cubs (1182-1150)

22. Reds

23. Pirates

24. Twins

25. Royals

26. White Sox (1029-1302) 71-91 average

27. Marlins

28. Rockies

If you go back to 2001-2025, Royals Rockies Pirates Orioles Marlins Tigers Reds White Sox are the worst.

Precisely, people make emotion-fueled arguments that tend to defy reason and sound judgement. Wouldn't trust the ability to make a reasonable evaluation about the sport. Find it curious as to why people are so interested in ragebaiting themselves. I'm not sure if that was the point you were trying to make.
