5/29 Games

Ky Bush has been super unlucky so far. Struck out the first 2 guys, then consecutive errors, a passed ball, then 2 singles. Then a strikeout. 2-0 Rocket City.

Baldwin continues to crush it. 2-2, hard single, hard oppo double, great play to start a double play at 3b.

Nice recovery for Bush. 5IP 4H 3R 1ER 3bb 7K.

Hoopii-Tuionetoa looks pretty darn good. Easy 95 fastball, slider is his best pitch.  MacDougal off to a dominant start for W-S 3 innings 5K 27/36 for strikes.

Baldwin walks. Missed a HR foul by about 3 feet. He's just good.

Charlotte has gone through 6, they are getting perfect-gamed.

The wheels fell off for MacDougal in the 6th. Single, double, walk, walk. Leaves with the bases juiced. The opponents have the bases loaded in three of four games right now.

Relief is gasoline, including a HR from old friend Mieses. MacDougal ends up giving up 5ER in 5IP. deserved a better fate.

Bases loaded against Kanny too. Every team is struggling. Barons fall behind 2 in the 8th. Caleb Freeman did not look good. Charlotte gave 4. W-S gave up 6. Kanny gives up 1.

The hitting throughout this organization is just awful for the most part

It’s really bad unfortunately.  And I’m not even worried about Montgomery & Quero…just not a ton after them.

Need a major infusion of bats in the draft.

This is why we won't be good for a very long time.

Thorpe command hasn't been particularly good today, but his stuff is deceivingly good. You watch some of the swings and he totally fools hitters. If his command continues to progress he's going to have a very successful big league career. I almost feel you have to move him up to challenge him a bit because even with his command being a bit wild today it doesn't look like he's truly being challenged.

Tatum got hit on the head, but he's staying in the game.

Barons bullpen walks 5 batters in the 7th. Tied 2-2.

Barons get swept. 5 walks in the 7th and 1-15 w/RISP kills them.

They really are ready to be White Sox.

How did you come to this conclusion? He avg 14.5 pitches per inning and only walked 2.

I legitimately think his change is one of the better pitches you'll ever see. When a rh that throws 92 can make good hitters look that bad, it's pretty special.

It’s such a bummer because good ownership is such a wild card. Kansas City’s rebuild was so DOA. They did the same “what if …all pitching”?

But with just one real dude, some veteran surprise, and dominant pitching, here they are.

But it’s because being smart on the margins matters, and god is our org the most wasteful, idiotic team on the margins.

It’s so funny to me that even in our complete tank years of 2017-19 we were running higher team salaries than the Rays and As.

If you can’t do more with less, you definitely can’t do more with more.

But my other side of this is if Colson hits, brooks is a Michael Massey level guy, and we keep Robert…

this pitching coming up looks good.

As much as I hate this org, we have once again still hovered above the Rockies.

We have a shot if we can be lucky on pitcher injuries and need Colson to hit.
