  • You think Chris Getz made this pick? I know you like to whine about everything, but this ain't it.

There is not a more white sox name than Mike Sirota. Mike Sirotka -> Mike Soroka -> Mike Sirota???

  • Two of the injuries were fractures of the hamate on each hand. On the plus side he doesn't have anymore hamate bones to fracture so maybe he's done with them. ?

One time I had to go to Minooka/Morris to give a presentation for work.

Afterwards, I walked to a pizza place with slot machines to call for an uber and charge my cell phone.  The waitress laughed and said "we don't have ubers out here" and asked me where I was going and I said "downtown" and she responded "which downtown?"

About two hours later, the restaurant was going to close and the waitress asked her dad to drive me to a Holiday Inn because nothing else was open.

Just then, an uber showed up.

They were nice people.  I'm rooting for Nate George.

My wife is not one to be too silly but one of her moments is whenever we drive past the sign on the highway and she calls out "minoooooooooka".  I have no idea why she does that, but it's fun.

reliever. one little dude. Great control it looks like

Sound like a Stan Lee villain.

Little guy who was a reliver in the ACC, 45k in 36 IP

So does this count as a slap dick reliever? ;)

They just mentioned that Fox is a guy the metrics like a lot.

Scouting department 4th round pick was abysmal……no way he should have been pick. Best upside is a 4th OF why bother picking him.

With Duke Ellis gone, Phil Fox is my new favorite name in the system.

DFA HIM NOW

DFA HIM NOW

I can see him getting called up for 2 appearances now.

Seeing everything about this pick, this better be a money saver as well.

7 rounds and not a single player from the state of Indiana.  If Shirley had any hair he'd be pulling it out right now.

Go Ball State all day

2024: An All-American, All-Region and All-ACC performer in his first season with the Panthers … Made 23 appearances out of the bullpen and struck out 45 batters over 36.2 innings … Earned eight saves and three wins, finishing with a 1.47 ERA … His eight saves were the second-most in a single season in program history … Had 18 scoreless and nine hitless outings … Earned a six-out save at No. 13 Virginia Tech where he allowed just two base runners … Earned a save in an upset win vs. No. 7 Duke … Threw two scoreless frames and earned the save in Pitt’s shutout win vs. No. 8 Florida State (5/10) … Notched eighth and final save of the year in a pivotal win at Miami (5/17).

Prior to Pitt: Spent the past two years at Gardner-Webb University … Underwent Tommy John Surgery in 2022 … Was named to the Big South All-Freshman Team as a redshirt freshman in 2023 … He appeared in 23 games and made one start over 30.1 innings … Emerged as the team’s closer and lead the Runnin’ Bulldogs in that category with three saves last season … Played at local Hempfield Area High School in Greensburg, PA where he was ranked as one of the top-500 players in the country … As a two-way player in high school, he hit .300 with seven runs scored during his sophomore year while he maintained a 2.62 ERA on the mound in six appearances … Played for the East Coast Sandhogs travel ball team that won the Perfect Game WWBA Northeast Qualifier.

Who exactly have they drafted that was ranked much higher than the draft position, such that they warrant overslot, for which punting is required?

Or perhaps that player has yet to be drafted.
