I don’t think Doyle is a real option and he’ll be gone. Billy Carlson would be a dream. I think they’d prioritize Parker, Pierce over Cunningham at this point. 5 hours ago, ChiSoxFanMike said: Is Jim Thome’s son a legit draft candidate? ChicagoSoxMan
Keep an eye on Josh Owens. Sox just sent one of their top evaluators in. @Harold's Leg Lift probably has better sources on how the game went (since he is our true insider), but could see him as the sox pick earlier than you might imagine. You dont waste a day traveling to see a guy like at this point in the year unless its serious. Especially when there are Jeeps to sell.

Josh Owens SS Ht: 6'3" | Wt: 185 | B-T: L-R School: Providence Academy, Johnson City, Tenn. Drafted/Committed: Georgia Southern Age At Draft: 18.5 Owens is a massively projectable lefthanded hitting shortstop with a 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame to dream on. He’s a multi-sport athlete who also plays football, but has solid tools across the board on the diamond, headline by solid contact skills and defensive instincts. While there’s no real carrying tool presently, it would be easy to see Owens fill out his frame, add strength and see a tool jump follow in short order. His father, Jeremy, was an eighth round pick in 1998 who played 10 minor league seasons. Edited May 22 by DirtySox

DirtySox
For those that don't subscribe for Law. Here's the top 15. Quote It’s a weak class at the very top; I don’t think anyone on this list would have cracked the top five in 2023, or have been in consideration at 1-1 last year, for example. There is quite a bit of depth further down the list, however, especially in high school shortstops, college outfielders, and left-handed pitching at both levels. It’s a good year to go under slot with your first pick and spread some money around, and a good year to have an extra pick or two. I expect a lot of rumors of deals up top before we get to the draft, and then for most teams to flee to the safety of college players when they actually have to put something on the table. Call it cynical if you wish; I call it the wisdom of experience. Quote 1.) Ethan Holliday 2.) Liam Doyle 3.) Jamie Arnold 4.) Aiva Arquette 5.) Marek Houston 6.) Gavin Kilen 7.) Eli Willits 8.) Kade Anderson 9.) JoJo Parker 10.) Kyson Witherspoon 11.) Billy Carlson 12.) Ike Irish 13.) Gavin Fien 14.) Riley Quick 15.) DirtySox
I know he's a 2B in pro ball, but I really love Gavin Kilen. The hitting profile is so attractive. I also feel similarly about Charles Davalan. Edited May 22 by DirtySox

GreenSox
Per Law from above: " It’s a good year to go under slot with your first pick and spread some money around," The Sox set up perfectly for that. The big draft advantage that they have is picking first in rounds 2-20 and round 1 and underslot in Round 1 allows them to maximize the advantage without punting.
