Not meaningless…but simply not enough Top 25 teams left.

USC losing to Illinois after that 63-10 shellacking doesn’t help much either.

Petrino’s on like his seventh or eighth chance now.

A 10-2 Notre Dame team that lost by a combined 4 points to Miami and Texas A&M is probably a playoff team, especially if those teams are playoff bound and/or Top 25 themselves.

And look up Car’s numbers against P4 schools, outside of Mendoza of Indiana who played Illinois and Iowa. no one is better than Carr against P4 schools this year (Miami, A&M, Perdue, Arkansas).

As everyone has already said...two loss ND gets in automatically.

Just have to run the table.

Hopefully Indiana gets exposed because they're not a Top 12 team based on how they played against Iowa and easily could have lost.

PSU/Texas/Iowa State losses really open things up..

Can't imagine anyone else but Indiana after OSU/Oregon from the B10.

I'm not convinced they're all that good. Underwood would need to start showing more for then to win out.

Oklahoma still undefeated for Red River Shootout, nut probably Hacking over Mateer at QB due to the hand surgery.

What are you trying to say?  Arch is a hot mess.  They probably still win with Hawkins at qb, but wild story out there Mateer will play.

Chipotle worker?

To be clear, I meant Texas probably still wins.  I did hear the Chipotle story.  He was dressed today, granted with a soft cast.  He (Mateer) told the sideline reporter he was planning on playing.

If I'm Oklahoma or Mateer I wouldn't bother risking it. Texas is not a good team. The offensive line is a mess. Arch is not even an average college QB. The defense is overrated and they got manhandled by a mediocre Florida offense today.

I think the only paths here were that being able to control everything in the college game would go smashingly well for Bill, or it was going to be an unmitigated disaster.

Looks like it was disaster FTW.

I kinda figured that it would be a disaster but not because of recruiting violation bullshit.  I just thought that the actual demanding recruiting job itself and navigating NIL would just be a big pain in the ass for him.

leaving the team with a shitty team and probably reduced scholarships and such, I just never considered that.

With the complete collapse of Bill's team since one HOF QB left his care, it makes you wonder if one Brady is really what put Bellichek on a HOF path.

He was terrible with Cleveland before he ever got to the Pats. He was pretty awful in his first year in Boston.  Brady shows up and everything changes.  He gets those 20 Brady years and everything is great.  Brady leaves, and NE instantly collapses.

The year Brady was hurt appeared to debunk that but I think that may have a been a fluke as Brady succeeded with him and he has failed miserably outside of that one year.

He did help get a rookie Mac Jones into the playoffs.
