Fighting fathoms going to do it.

Wish I could say I was upset, but the NIL and portal and extended playoffs has made me very ambivalent to college football.  With that said, the refs were a total joke.

Don’t worry, Irish fans. They’ll still be in the playoffs no matter how many games they lose.

So much for Miami not being good enough #EntitledIrish

Reffing was indeed shameful

Does Ryan Day survive this?  How?

Congrats Brian

I’m pretty sure a couple Michigan Players got pepper sprayed by the cops there.

i hope some OSU players are suspended for that.

Does Indiana get in now...?

After getting blown out by a team that just lost at home to a 6-5 Michigan team without a passing attack?

Not even convinced PSU is all that great...but you can say the same thing about the SEC being down compared to prior years.

We should be in anyway, but yes this gives more credence to that W over Michigan.

Linemen and guys in shoulder pads and helmets going after the equipment guy in a jacket trying to get the flag back.

Couldn't even make the playoffs with a Heisman caliber QB in Ward.

Once again, while he's an excellent recruiter, Cristobal sucks as a GameDay coach. Guidry needs to be fired at once.

We've played with fire all year...eventually you'll get burned. I was worried all week about this game because Syracuse has a great offense and our defense is trash.

Looks like I was right to be worried.

I don't mind the extended playoffs but if I'm going to watch professionals play, I'll watch on Sunday. I would have preferred the people making the most money from college athletics, the colleges, to pay stipends. I think the transfer portal has problems and needs to be tweaked.

But I did get caught up in the UT - Aggie hype and watched. I'm surrounded by a lot of UT grads and former employees among my in-laws and my daughter's in-laws so it was a good night.

Too quick to rules yourselves out there, no? Although I guess committee will find any reason to put Bama in.

If Clemson wins the ACC, I really don't see how they can keep SMU out but put Bama in. SMU would have to get destroyed by 50 for it to happen. Miami vs. Bama is a legit argument, although you can argue 2 of Bama's losses should be disqualifying. Miami's losses were at least to 2 pretty solid teams, although you could also argue that they should have lost at least 2 more games to 2 really bad teams (VT and Cal). South Carolina is probably the hottest team that can still make the playoff, but their loss to Bama probably disqualifies them to the committee.

Can't believe Iowa State is one win away from the playoffs...but such is the state of NCAA football this year.

Colorado would have drawn much better ratings with Deion and two of the top five picks, including the likely Heisman winner in next year's draft.

At any rate, hopefully they provide better games than Iowa or Wisconsin in B10 championships recently.

And maybe Boise State, Indiana, SMU or ISU can give it more of an NCAA bb tourney feel as cinderellas with unaligned fans getting behind them and not just cannon fodder.

I'm pretty biased, but South Carolina should be in over Bama. Lost to Bama at Bama, by 2, I get it, but still....don't you want the teams playing the best football right now, in the playoffs?

Miami ranked 14th in the AP poll, behind Alabama and South Carolina. They're definitely not making the CFP.

SMU Clemson was wild. Interesting to see how the committee screws SMU now

Alabama who got run out of the stadium by a 2-6 SEC team in OU and also lost to perennial doormat Vandy?

SMU second half rally carries them forward?

Miami’s the other two loss team but they fell apart late after lucking out so many times earlier in the season.

The SEC schools didn't help each other at all this year.

Penn State and Texas are going to make it to semis without a quality win all season.   How are both seeded higher than OSU?   OSU beat two teams in the playoff.  Michigan loss looks bad but it is still MIchigan.

Close losses to Oregon seems to help Boise and Penn State but not OSU.

Plus they destroyed Indiana...but then there was Nebraska as well.

Very inconsistent with perhaps the most pro talent in the country at the skill positions, Downs, etc.

Tennessee and Oregon also face tougher roads ... there's just no way Boise State is one of the top four teams overall.

I know it’s not a satisfying answer, but Boise only lost one game. Penn State’s second loss came in the Big Ten championship game.

Who did Boise play other than Oregon and UNLV (borderline Top 25) twice?

I’m not defending it, I’m just laying out the logic. And they lost to Oregon, the clear #1, by 3 points.
