He talked about the trade discussions between the Sox and Twins at last year’s deadline. I’m sorry to inform that Luke Keashall was never available. I guess I’ll have to listen to the recording. Did he ever admit publicly that he got the report completely wrong? Nice of him to apparently share it with you directly. Guess I know which reporter to put in the Bruce Levine bucket. 🤣 Edited March 21 by WhiteSox2023

Seriously? Well, don’t look at their ages, stats, etc., that would prove you completely wrong… That’s what you got out of me saying Alex Verdugo sucks? I don’t care about these type of signings as much as you do. They don’t matter. What I think is if Getz would have signed Verdugo you would have lost your mind and been super mad about it, though.

You signing him to a long term deal? I didn’t pine for anyone, but nice of you to put words in my mouth. My point was that this is just further proof that Getz jumps on mediocre veteran players and overpays them, rather than letting the market work itself out and grabbing guys on the cheap… which is exactly what a garbage team should be doing. Captain Panic indeed. Remember when our stupid GM said that Austin Slater was his main priority of the offseason? 🤣 What a fucking loser. Chicago White Sox
In conclusion, a Tauchman/Slater platoon has been better historically, has been better recently, and is projected to be better next year. But “age”… Edited March 21 by Chicago White Sox
CWSpalehoseCWS
Also... 28 other teams choose to not sign him. It's March 20th. Maybe there's some issues there we don't know about if teams weren't even willing to sign the guy on the cheap.

The Cubs non-tendered Tauchman even though they needed a fourth outfielder. Are we going to continue to play this gave that Tauchman and Slater aren’t trash veteran players that a rebuilding team should have no business signing?

You could say the same about Jose Iglesias, and he was one of the most important players on the Mets during their final six weeks of the season. Obviously he was expecting a LOT more than a NRI to Padres' camp.

Tauchman put up 1.1 WAR in 350 plate appearances last year and he’s a trash veteran? caulfield12
"If we all agree the White Sox aren’t going to roar to playoff life after 121 losses, then, for this prediction to come true, the Twins would have to win the Central and be the only Central team to advance. FanGraphs’ projections give the Twins the highest-percentage odds of winning the division, so ... maybe? Also, mere regression to the mean would mean fewer losses for the White Sox and, ergo, fewer wins for their division foes and, ergo, less chance of the Central producing multiple playoff teams. (Did I just talk myself into this prediction? I think I did!)" mlb.com Anthony Castrovince Also, Garrett Crochet projected to have a K rate over 40%. Shane Bieber last did this in abbreviated 2000 Covid season.
