Why is Colas just so terrible

See if the Mets will take his sorry no bat / no glove ass for Canario and just start Canario in LF with Benintendi out.  This season is already circling the drain before it even started so you may as well see if another young guy can pan out with the at bats.

I think he hates this org and is depressed. I don't blame him.

Are you kidding? Boo-hoo. Then he should play himself into a position where other teams want him.

I'd be willing to bet Chris Getz isn't turning down monster returns for Colas.

Who cares? Why would I root against any Sox player? Getz is a clown, Colas is just a dime a dozen AAAA type but our org did him zero favors and I guarantee word around the league is that this franchise is poverty, doesn't develop any young talent and is a miserable place to be.

Colas seems like a true clown, and if he has an attitude anything like the childish BS you laid out, he should really just quit the game. That's some stinkin' thinkin'.

The last I checked, Davis Martin, Jon Cannon and Sean Burke were "young talent".

Yep, Colas isn’t even really that young anymore.

He’s very small

He’s was an interesting prospect to trade for and he was a good return for our trash but the absolute ZERO extra base hit and HR power he has pretty much makes him a utility infielder at best.  Not even worth following honestly.

It’s amazing that Getz acknowledged that having some OF depth in the upper minors would prove valuable given our general lack of talent outside of Robert and yet missed horribly on the evaluations of Fletcher & DeLoach.

Honestly, I’d prefer rotating some of the infielders through LF while Andrew is out vs. giving Fletcher the job.  I’d also throw a claim at Canairo when the Mets ultimately try to sneak him through waivers.

Fletcher, yes:  he was pretty much expected to come in and give us a 1-2 WAR OF.
But wasn't Deloach one of those guys like Cordell, who was Rule 5 eligible and one of those guys who in  all likelihood as AAA?  The more important parts of that deal were the pick and the pitcher.

And I agree - I hope some of the IFs get work in LF.
