Trade is shaping up to be a total disaster

Well this was completely unforeseeable since the off season...that's 5-6 significant pitching injuries now.

That would be odd. The previous surgery was for bone spurs. This has no correlation to joint laxity or UCL issues. Unless there was something else not reported.

Not like the guy from Houston who hhad a UCL reconstruction and continues to have issues there.

Yeah considering all the imaging they’ve done, I would be surprised if it’s UCL.

I was told it was the best they could get because no one would splurge for one of the most durable pitchers in baseball that would finish 4th in Cy Young voting.

Sammy Zavala better learn to hit over the Mendoza line or this trade is catastrophic.

Not saying he hasn't having issues. There are many types of issues in the elbow. Just the UCL isn't the most likely

So far, other than a couple minor trades and the Crochet trade, what Getz trade hasn’t aged poorly after looking good at the start?

Well s%*#. Only the Sox could target a soft tossing lefty with a "high floor" and have him completely wash out.

Considering the procedure he had last year, what would be the most likely setback?

The return on some valuable assets has not been pretty.  Have to hope for some rebound seasons.

There had to have been something that was causing the stress to have the bone spurs form. It could be in the way he extends the elbow and that is still causing an irritation or they are adjusting something in the motion to decrease that stress and soreness is popping up

Elbow discomfort, imaging likely

I feel safe stating this in the present tense.

Where is a UCL located again?  Let’s hope it’s just muscle soreness.

WTF is the deal with Luis Garcia and his continued issues? He's on my dynasty team LOL

Not the dreaded forearm tightness, but still still not overy encouraging.

From no restrictions in ST, to not ready for opening day, to…  ???

Does he even pitch this year?

The Sox are so very bad at injury reporting and updates.
