  • It's not that big of a deal honestly.  A storm moved in quickly and dropped a deluge in a matter of seconds.  It could have happened to anyone, just mindless clickbait and more doomposting for Sox fan

  • The tarp stuff nor the Sasaki stuff is a big deal JFC

  • Guy is in a brand new country and has a lot of pressure on his shoulders. People deal with emotions/pressure differently. He is still a human and we have no idea what he deals with on a daily basis in

They have earned it.

Colson Montgomery has 1 homer and 9 strikeouts so far...which is far better than Rafael Devers!

About 15 years ago I was at a Rockies/Phillies game in Denver, and a storm came in late and caused havoc with the ground crew. I went home, since it was gonna be a while. Next night, same thing. The crew could not handle the tarp, and one guy got swept under it. He could have died in there. Jimmy Rollins and one other guy in Philly dugout saw it and went out there under the tarp to pull the guy out safely.

Was this it?

Obviously I meant Jerry’s organization as a whole.

Which in this specific instance is the groundscrew.

Not a big deal other than we get embarrassed again

If anyone hasn't earned it, it's Bossard.

Well, at least it’s not this

The more embarrassing, the more welcome it is. Sell the team

Wow, wtf.  Dude was crying after being pulled early from a rough start but the score was still 2-1 Tigers in the 2nd inning?  And the Dodgers ended up winning.  Dude needs to nut up and grow a pair.

Imagine having the pressure and expectations of a whole country on your shoulders...

It killed Hideki Irabu eventually.

Now the Dodgers are 5-0 but that doesn't all is well...reminiscent of Vargas looking shell shocked last summer after the trade.

No, that’s weak.  Little leaguers cry when they lose, which is understandable.  He’s a grown ass man…  or maybe not.

Vargas looked depressed last year, which is understandable.  He was traded from the Dodgers to the worst team in baseball.  But I don’t recall seeing him visibly crying.

The Sox have earned being the laughingstock of the league, and there were a lot of social media posts about the tarp incident.  Most were clickbait and/or uninformed posts, and many poked fun at the grounds crew.  And I'd be willing to bet most, if not all, authors of the posts never handled an infield tarp in dry conditions, let along during a sever storm with high winds, heavy rain, and fucking hail.

Yeah, the Sox deserve mocking, but Roger Bossard and his crew do not.

He'll be fine, hopefully.  Losing your father and grandparents in a tsunami at such an early age forces one to grow up quickly.

It's not easy work, that's for sure.

I've seen 185 pounders thrown 20-30 feet up into the air and almost blown away in the high gale force winds, barely holding on for life...and baked in the August humidity as you could see all the colors of the spectrum emanating from the tarp in waves, the sun beating down mercilessly just minutes after a late afternoon deluge, after the sky had almost turned pitch black with threatening rain clouds.

I agree. Who cares? Try pulling the tarp in those conditions.

I’m sorry this bothers you so much, but don’t worry, being sensitive is part of being human. Proud of both you and Sasaki for your willingness to be vulnerable.
