Feels like last game where he walked two in the fifth and both scored thanks to Murfee.

Cade Smith warming for CLE.

Shane Smith has produced more fWAR today than Andrew Vaughn has in his entire career.

  • Let’s be honest, the closest feeling we’re going to have to winning a World Series in the next decade or so is if a new owner takes over this team and announces they’re staying in Chicago.

You really have to consider all the positive changes Getz has made in the org tho.

For a guy that was picked that high that got to the majors so quickly and then basically put up a zero WAR for like 5 years?  I can’t think of many others that got the shot he did and was so ineffective.

lol I guess if you add the “got to the majors so quickly and put up a roughly zero WAR over 5 years” qualifier, you may have a point.

otherwise, there’s like 25-30 3rd overall picks alone that have lower career bWAR.

He's an all time bust bro. He was the best college hitter and can't even eke out a career as a backup 1B/DH/RF.

Literally loses the perfect game the very first batter he faces after this post. Well done.

No hitter still in play 🤣

That's why Thaiss is catching.

Oops.

Hit him with a change up.

Batter hit himself...basically.  Fooled on the pitch.

Damn, losing his command as game goes along.

He sucks, but he isn’t even close to being an all time bust.

Yeah this happens to so many top 5 picks.

Bunt?

One in his entire career.

Still debating Madrigal and Vaughn?

Vargas hasn’t adjusted to that outside fastball at all.

He’s now at 19-169 in his Sox career. Good for a .112 average.   Could Fedde hit better?

He looks so stiff at the plate I am not sure he can get close to hitting an outside fastball

Should have had a DP.

And Robert should have scored.

That's just the way things are going for the Sox right now.

A year ago when weather was 70 in CLE it would have likely been a DP.

Thaiss saves a run.

He just has no balance at the plate and an inconsistent swing. Still feels like something an advanced scout should have been able to locate.

Good thing it was Bo and not Josh

Wow...survived that one somehow.

Change up gets drilled.

Thankfully no Baldwin out there.

Whew, would hate for a Naylor to get a big hit.

You could have just looked at his pathetic statcast data. There is nothing there with this guy. He has no tools. He's a bad athlete with bad tools.

And very often to positional picks by the White Sox in any early round of the draft.

What's the last no hitter we lost?

Joe Cowley still, right?

Can't imagine Venable will let him throw over 90-100 pitches anyway...

Nothing like taking the word of someone you’re able to let go

Amaya just got another week of playing time.

Tauchman gonna homer here.

Schriffen. Cmon. "Hopefully Meidroth will be with the big league team at some point this season." Buddy...he will be up in like 2 weeks at the latest.
