How could a team seem so intelligent at recognizing pitching talent but be utterly useless at recognizing hitting talent?

Shane Smith has produced more fWAR today than Andrew Vaughn has in his entire career.

  • Let’s be honest, the closest feeling we’re going to have to winning a World Series in the next decade or so is if a new owner takes over this team and announces they’re staying in Chicago.

You really have to consider all the positive changes Getz has made in the org tho.

At least Shane Smith seems to be quite the find.

What's with these lineups? Nick Maton 3rd? ROFLMAO

It's really weird, isn't it?

At least we know when Vaughn is DFA, they will spend that money in the offseason

He could have pocketed money this year

Brian Bannister and Ethan Katz are good at their jobs and most people in the organization aren't.

The presence of Teel and Quero gives them additional cheap 1B/DH options...

For whatever reason it only works with SP. It's probably just a fluke honestly.

Smith era at 1.59.

Which means Ramirez will homer.

Ofc a squib hit.

Trying to homer...hit it off the end of the bat.

Another team will find him at the trade deadline. (#MakeBirminghamBetter) or stock the team with more Vargas.

Call your friends, call your neighbors, you don't want to miss one pitch of the White Sox bullpen.

The dreaded 5 2/3's mark again.

Gilbert will be next in...cold pitcher who doesn't throw hard.

How many spots open do we have on the 40-man now, 2?

Far too many cases for it to be a fluke.

Santana continues to kill the Sox at 99 yrs old

They have complete control of him for years. No they won’t.

Smith just got lucky on that previous hanger and then threw a nasty hook.

Wow...got him.  Great job, Shane.

Smith days in Milwaukee are over 😂

Zero reason to trade him.  They won’t get back enough value for him being a Rule 5 draft pick and I wouldn’t trust Getz not to trade him for Vargas 2.0 anyways.

Too soon to start dreaming on a Schultz/Taylor/Smith/Smith rotation?
