When it comes to great ways to prove this management team is different than the last one, reducing the amount of soft tissue injuries and not playing guys who are obviously hurt would be two great pla

I have no idea what's going on. Grown men hold a lot of responsibility for their own health . Combination of cold weather and previous soft tissue injury, age and lack of pinch runner and trying too hard.

I don't know if it's bad luck or just players grow up softer these days. There's no way to know  and I can't blame people I have no knowledge about what they are advising or if the players listen. Obviously s%*# just happens too. Nothing is 100 % preventable. We could try to figure it out for a lifetime and never know.  I don't look for people to blame with injuries. Maybe something somewhere might've made a difference in preparation or healing process but people get hurt exerting themselves even those with better doctors than the rest of us.

The fact that the Sox have gone through multiple head trainers in the past 10 years and gone through more trainers and conditioning folks in that same span than you can count...yet nothing seems to change.

As I've been told by folks in the organization and around the team something is terribly amiss with the training, conditioning, nutrition areas with this organization. And yes, the players themselves also have some responsibility.

Injuries happen but as I was told by an individual:

“Given the inordinate amount of soft-tissue injuries they have had you’d think that they would do a complete change in the training, conditioning and nutritional areas.”

I have no idea if the Sox have done anything along these lines or not given that the results of Hahn's deep-dive into these areas and the constant injuries was never released.

Team won't be free until the stench is gone. Robert and Vaughn need to go. Robert is just frustrating. Vaughn..... Well not much to say about him, he's terrible. If they want these young pitchers to succeed they need to get some offense, you can't frustrate young pitchers like that. It's like the pitchers have to be perfect. No room for error. You can't pitch like that. They got rid of Yoan, Eloy, Tim and the rest now Robert needs to be shipped. Let go to another team and maybe figure it out. Dude has a low baseball IQ

Elko is only like 8 months younger than Vaughn.  Agree with the rest of the youngsters.

Ok well something different. I've had enough of the weak Vaughn at bats

The magic numbers are 2 and 9.

2-9 record and on pace for 29 wins.

Every Robert at bat I think "maybe he'll run into one?"

For Vaughn "maybe he'll walk?"

With each passing day, Robert’s eventual exit from the Sox looks more and more like Moncada’s. If he continues this play for another month or two, he’s untradeable. Forget surplus value, he won’t even be worth the $15M he’s being paid this season and certainly not the $20M option for next season.

Easily, and injuries are piling up in places that they have no depth.

He'll, maybe Colas will get some run after all. I'd much rather watch Colas than Tauchman or Taylor or Slater anyway.

The starting pitching so far has been really good. So has the defense. But no hitting and bullpen woes plus injuries have to young arms and old veteran position players and Korey Lee might combine to get Quero up here and some of the younger relief pitchers.  They'd have to do a lot of DFAs though so I don't know if they're just biting the bullet to save service time on as many players as possible.

One things for sure, no one is going to be rushed unless injuries start forcing the issue.

Seems like nobody bothered asking Venable post-game about whether he thought Tauchman was playing at less than 100%, whether he considered a pinch runner, etc.

How do you even see postgame comments from Venable in this absolute wasteland of beat coverage? That's an honest question by the way. I'd love to find a source because I got nothing after losing DVS and Vinny.

Maybe they play the presser in the radio post game?

The starting pitching so far has not been the problem and the defense has been surprisingly good.

You just can't win many games averaging 3 runs a game.

This awful incompetent ownership is a big part of that stench

I was pleased to see Vargas get a big hit there in the 9th

And even that number is inflated due to the two big explosion games they won.

Post game show ? I thought I heard Venable talking about Lee's left ankle but I wasn't really paying too much attention.

Tweets ? Some do have post game access.

Preaching to the choir brother. He's clutching the purse strings. Hell never put the cart before the horse.

He won't spend unless he's got the revenue.

He won't spend to create revenue.

Perhaps. Not much use for an out of town fan.

Who is tweeting post game quotes? Again, honest question. DVs used to have videos on Twitter of the post game comments every day. Well, he done. Fegan doesn't even tweet anymore and Merkin is too busy planning his next meal and talking about Michigan. And as an out of town fan, I don't have access to the post game show.

Pretty sure during the broadcast they put up a graphic that said Jones was called up. Schriffren said something like it might be a name people aren't familiar with and talked about his speed, defense and power.

They're on the road.

Think Kyle Williams doesn't travel to save his paper money.

Pool reports or only info from CLE side probably.

Well I'm in California and I manage and I don't have the MLB package but  not sure if the MLB package stays with the broadcast long enough for post game show. If I get the CHSN broadcast like I did tonight I'll see post game.

I'm finding it not that obvious who leaves the 40-man to make room for Jankowski. If it were me, I'd just cut bait with Clevinger...but I don't think that's what will happen. Maybe things are far enough along with Varland's elbow that he could go to the 60-day? Not sure...
